In volume 7 extra, the poem read:

"The things that were once above have come, their empty shells now scattered here."

This new illustration from chapter 172 clearly depicts the "empty shells" that weren't revealed back then 🙏🏻 URANA-SENSEI YOUR PEN IS ON FIRE

The person who made those samples must love humans.

Each one was preserved with love and care. if Shuichi didn't know better, he'd never guess how gruesome ends they've met.

To Gonta, all of his friends shone brighter than gems.

My take on Mastermind Gonta, based on the paranoid theories formed during my initial V3 gameplay: a secret Ultimate Taxidermist/Embalmer, set on "protecting" what he holds most dear by making it a part of his collection.

But there's an easy different interpretation for that - kris is EXHAUSTED.

In chapter 1, they wouldve slept in and been late for class if their mom didn't wake them up. In chapter two, they fall asleep for the entire class due to their night activities in chapter 1, and it's implied that they might not have been sleeping well for a bit.

In chapter 4, they are sleeping on the couch and have to be woken up by susie for breakfast - they are tired from chapter 3 stuff and whatever they were doing in the shelter. Then, at Holiday's place, they face-plant on the counter after the person on the phone stops talking.

They are very much not sleeping well at the end of the chapter, can't get a shut eye due to sans and toriel. Then they hear susie and get the phone call.

Then, start of chapter 5 - they have been out THE ENTIRE NIGHT, doing god knows what, SOULESS, to the point their skin is green. When they put the soul back in, they stumble, and they get sassy with you when you make them check Asriel's letters and the pizza spray for boys ('your body is shaking, feel foreing, exhausted, and you are making THIS your FIRST and second priority?').

the feelings being buried so deeply inside her bc it's such a distinct CHOICE she'd have to make she can't even stomach thinking about it

hii not only existing to tell her what to do, but being a (subconscious) projection of masculine ideals to further enforce her identity as a man

her potentially transitioning and hii remaining a man bc hii isn't fu, and however intrinsically intertwined they are, they're separate minds and identities

her finding autonomy through transitioning and finding herself

the wrong choice she talks about being that she considered it before and it lead to bad things happening
