⚢ I converted from Christianity to Islam in college about 4 years ago but now I identify as spiritual. I cover my head for spiritual reasons relating to hoodoo and I only unveil in front of people I’m close to. I am learning how to do tarot and would love to connect to the spiritual practices of my ancestry.

⚢ Politically I identify as an anti-imperialist. I haven’t read any literature specifically on communism to identify as a communist but I’m sure my values align with communism and other leftist politics. I am a huge fat liberationist and plan to center fat politics in my future private practice as a therapist. I love Blackness and Black people more than life itself so I have a huge collection of books written by Black liberationist and scholars. My favorite Black liberationist is Malcolm X.

⚢ I am super family oriented and have a huge tribe of lesbian/sapphic friends that I’m close to. I have a ton of friends and acquaintances that I love dearly!

⚢ Extroverted with a semi-low social battery. I love going out and mingling and meeting new people as long as I’m in BIPOC LGBTQ spaces. My friends describe me as funny, determined, resilient, and extremely independent. I describe myself as awkward, open-minded, kind, and patient. I also have adhd so I’m pretty all over the place and a mess but I’m hoping someone has the capacity to handle all my moving parts ⚙️

⚢ I embraced my identity as a lesbian in spring of 2023, and it saved my life.

⚢ Black lesbians only. This includes people who are perceived as Black and do not experience sexual or romantic attraction to cis-men (gay or straight).

I just.. kinda hate that. Because not specific to Young MA, I have been a bit of a goofy when it comes to trying to give grace to Black women, especially queer ones and the ones who've made me look like BooBoo the Fool the most often has been the studs and I want for that to be less true in my life and in the world.

As far as the stats... I feel like.... Do they not have friends and family who are in the community? Are they being willfully obtuse? Are they trying to be respectability politic niggas? What is making people accuse you of lying, because I feel like all you would have to do is know enough queer people and you would have to admit that yes this shit happens and admit it happens more than you would like.

I would also love to know real stats of abuse or abusive behavior that is happening among black lesbians and sapphics then learn how we can do better.

I also feel like Boo Boo the Fool putting clown makeup on when I speak highly of a black butch, femme, fem, masc or stud and they turn out to be toxic. I came from a historically women colleges and there was a KNOWN abusive person on our campus that got banned, exes have come out to talk about how abusive they are and people still defend them. They were a black masc lesbian and I would see them at events with people all around them (yes most of them are their friends who know and don’t care that their abusive) and I’m sitting there like:
