I say this as someone who was both parentified and let everyone vent to them, no matter how heavy the topic, as a teen: Don‘t fucking do this if you haven‘t allready saved up for therapy in a few years. You are welcome to hang out here, be friends with people, maybe be someones agere/agedre-sibling, idk play house with people. But please, please don‘t be be someones serious caregiver. Go be a child first.

Also a lot of these posts contain so much personal information. Why am I, a random adult on the internet you do not know, able to learn so much sensitive information about you, a literal child? Stop that. Do not post personal information online

The stories you have to tell of an amazing and free recovered life will be far more entertaining for your grandkids.

You don’t need your ED to be accepted,

Somewhere out there ARE your people, and even if they’re not, you have been your own person all along

You don’t need your ED to be happy,

Nothing in life could ever possibly bring you true and real happiness when you are stuck in your ED, you know it, I know it, life is so golden and EDs make it so grey.

You don’t need your ED to be in control,

You are not in control, if you were you wouldn’t be where you are now. If you were you would eat whatever you wanted whenever you wanted without fear or guilt. Recovery will give you the control you crave.

You don’t need your ED to be loved,

Your ED is not what people love about you, in fact, it’s is probably the cause of some people falling out of love with you. People love your laugh, your jokes, your heart and the way you care for others. People love YOU and not your illness.

And finally, you don’t need your ED to cope.

There are so many healthy coping mechanisms that work. There are so many better ways to handle than your ED. There are so many things that will make your life BETTER instead of worse, make you feel ALIVE instead of on the brink of death.

what a psychiatric advance directive does is put limits on what the psychiatrists assigned to you can do. you can appoint your own person to be your legal representative, someone you trust who knows you and cares about you. you can also specify what hospitals you don’t want to be sent to or what doctors you don’t want to see or medications you don’t want to take or whether or not you consent to electroconvulsive treatment. you can also say what you do want, like i put down that they decided to institutionalize me, i wanted it to be at a specific psych ward i’d already been to and had a not terrible time at. and now, if i ever get declared incompetent, psychiatrists are legally not allowed to put me back on the meds that gave me a seizure. 

It comes in 3 colours; blue, pink, and black. There are a lot of functions on this toy so I’ll review each part one by one! Here we go...

Joystick: 10/10

I really like the feel of this joystick. The design allows it to spin on its own and also be pressed in, which I love. The stick design of the fidget makes using this really satisfying!

Dot Matrix: 10/10

Looove this! It’s just enough tactile feedback for my dermatillomania self, and the perfect soft-touch texture with the right amount of resistance.

Switch: 7/10

I like how clicky it is! It can also be balanced in the middle and pressed down for a silent button. It is a little stiff however, and takes some effort to press. It’s also rather small.

Buttons: 8/10

Also very clicky, which I love. However, there is no option for silent buttons, all make noise, and it’s fairly noisy. I love pressing all of them at the same time, so satisfying!

Slider: 6/10

It feels a little too long for comfort, and the tension isn’t consistent throughout. I love the soothing motion it allows!

Ball: 6/10

Doesn’t click in sadly. But it’s very sturdy and overall nice to roll.

Worry Stone: 3/10

I don’t find myself going for this often. It’s not very satisfying to run a finger over, but then again I’m not a worry stone person.

Gears: 1/10

These are so stiff, and hurt to turn when they finally do. Really not good.

Loop: 8/10

Such a unique idea! Mimics the feeling of flipping car keys. Can fly off your finger fairly easily, however.
