They’re the leaders of their respective sides (excluding God and Satan, obviously) which makes it all the more scandalous

Gabriel is big and Beelzebub is smol

They actually seem to work pretty well together and have a nice banter. Like, the “we now have to convince this kid to destroy the world, let’s play off one another’s points” and then “Oh fuck, we have a tell our sides to stand down, uuuuuuugh.”

Which also leads to the “we both understand where one another are coming from and commiserate about being in charge of morons”

“I’m telling your father, young man" *Gabriel nodding in the background like the stepdad who doesn’t really have any authority but is there for moral support*

(This one is weak, but it struck me as odd and out-of-character when I watched it the first time) Gabriel seemed kind of surprised that they could spy on people on earth and was like “oh…..angel and demon hanging…probably nothing…probably an innocent explanation for it…no reason to look into it…I mean, if you want to, Michael, no, there are no back channels, no don’t wink at me—she’s gone. Okay.”

They appear at the same time. Like, dramatic entrances within seconds of one another. Even if they weren’t together romantically or whatever, you CANNOT convince me that they didn’t meet beforehand and go “Okay, so, the kid isn’t going for it. Maybe something super dramatic will get this show on the road. Three, two, one-”

There is no acknowledgement of the other person’s name with disgust like there is when Hastur sees Crowley for the first time in the show or any other person who hates another person within media does when they see that person for the first time. It’s just kind of a nod.

That, added with the fact that we know that Michael has demons on speed dial, means it’s not outrageous to wonder if heaven and hell have been meeting up and chatting this entire time.

Gabriel swatted a rogue fly and barely missed the swinging bottle of white vodka currently being hold by the drunk Lord of the Flies. Beelzebub was holding the bottle by the neck in her best threatening manner a drunk person can actually manage after going through three barrels worth of alcohol, her swarm of flies acting equally drunk as their master and proceeded to buzz around lazily on a messy spiral formation. Gabriel swatted another one that tried to land on his pristine white suit.

“Me?? It’s your crawling snake demon’s fault for all of this... shit.” he said, ending the sentence awkwardly while gestured his hands in a vogue manner, sloshing the vodka bottle dangerously. Gabriel was not the type of angel to participate in worldly manners such as getting completely smashed with his enemy, but drastic times calls for drastic measures. And trying to calm down a battalion of angel soldiers and taking care the mess in both upper and lower management after the whole not-armageddon fiasco is justified to be counted as one. Gabriel took another swig of vodka.

Beelzebub slumped into the chair with a loud groan, covering her eyes in a universal sign of an upcoming migraine, “I don’t get paid enough for this.”

“We don’t get paid at all.” Gabriel said before coughing at the strong drink and making a disgusted face, still not used to the after burn.

“Can you believe it? Demons and angel being together and frai- frater- canoodling” Gabriel asked in disbelief, giving up completely to say ‘fraternize’ and opted to end his suffering by using a simpler word instead. Beelzebub gave him an odd look in response, she hummed thoughtfully. Before snorting and making herself comfortable on the chair, taking another swig from the bottle, “Not in a millennium years, Gabe.”

Gabriel grinned and also relaxed into the chair, “Not even after that, Beelz.”

Why?

Everything happens, it exist Life is so complicated, yet simple I was born Was i? What was it like? Before all of this? What is my existence? What am i? A soul? A brain? A body? I was told we are souls put into this body This world And we’ll return to our makers once we leave this world But i was also told our brains controls us Movement, thought, emotions, everything It’s the most important organ According to the brain that is There’s also my body Which does most of of the work And gets most of the pain It’s ourselves that we show to the world We dress it and we give it a personal Life is confusing

I belive there are two kinds of smutty fanfiction writers:

1) “She was the canvas he just started discovering piece by piece. The passion growing stronger each time a fascinating piece of her beauty got revealed.”

So as most of you know, I have a more personal connection to anti-shipping than most: for about two years, I was arguably the nastiest and most vicious anti in my fandom, so much so that I gained a certain level of infamy for it. 

Starting to ship Reylo was a wakeup call the likes of which I’d never encountered before — not only did it cause me to examine my own past behavior and confront the extremely difficult revelation that I’d been the villain all along, but it also made me think about anti-shipping as a whole, and the things I wish I had understood when  I was knee-deep in that mindset. 

Things like:

1. People’s enjoyment of things that hurt you is not blithe mockery of your pain. It is not a personal slight. You are allowed to be hurt by something. You are not allowed to belittle, degrade, and shame others for interacting with it. You are not that important, and your pain is not a weapon. 

2. The moment you commit yourself to a movement devoted to hatred, you have ceded the moral high ground. You have gone to the Dark Side. You are not fighting the good fight. You are an emotional terrorist actively attempting to break people down for disagreeing with you. 

3. You also cede the right to be a victim. No one deserves to be suicide baited or doxxed, and neither do you. However, by aligning yourself with hatred, by actively harming others and laughing about it, you forfeit your right to be upset and morally outraged when you receive hate, when others comment in disagreement with your posts, when you are cast as a villain. You are not being bullied. You are receiving back just a taste of the pain you have caused others. 

4. You. Are. Miserable. You really are. Happy, fulfilled people don’t marinate themselves in hatred. They don’t drink acid and spit it at others. You’re so desperate to avoid looking at yourself and so afraid of what you’ll see there that you’re directing all of that hatred outwards. You found a group of people who like something that makes you angry, and it’s so easy to attack them, to hurt them because you’ve convinced yourself that they’re “bad” somehow and they deserve it. But it’s not about them. It’s about you. It’s about all those dark things you hear at night. It’s the fear that you’re worthless. And it’s the high you get, the ego boost every time someone cheers you on for attacking the “bad” shippers. It’s the feeling that you’re so smart, you’re so popular, you’re so loved and you’re so, so right for everything you’re doing.

But those people aren’t there for you at night. They won’t be there when your world falls apart. All that’s left is you, and your misery, and the desperate need to make someone else hurt for it because you can’t handle it. 

5. And most importantly: you’re wrong. You are wrong. Your thought process is wrong. Your behavior is wrong. Everything that you are doing as you torture and harm others and convince yourself that you’re morally justified IS. WRONG. 

One day you’re going to realize that, and you’ll choke on it. 

And if you did that a thousand times, it still wouldn’t be equal to all of the harm you caused. 

Cut off that source of fuel and they wither. There’s nothing more maddening as an anti to have someone resist your blatant attempts to bait them — it’s bad enough if they’re calm and reasonable in response to your comments/posts, but if they just ignore it entirely? You have to fall back on the attention from your fawning followers, and that’s KIND of fun, but it’s not the same when you’re looking for a fight, when you WANT to hurt those shippers. If you want to piss off an anti, don’t even give them a second glance, don’t say a word; nothing makes them fume more than to see those “awful” shippers happily going about their day, creating content and talking meta and carrying on with the ship they love instead of getting upset and engaging.

Also, it goes without saying, but… don’t try to retaliate. You’ll never be clever enough, and they WILL make themselves out to be the victim. Believe me, I was the undisputed champion of this. You’ll attack them and try to get the last word, and not only do they get the satisfaction of knowing they upset you, but they’ll be surrounded with love and support from their followers because someone was “mean” to them. It’s a total win-win for them: across the board attention, and they end up looking sympathetic. Don’t do it.

TranscendenceAU - 

Essentially, when Bill fails the apocalypse and is dying, hemakes one last desperate attempt to survive by trying to posses Dipper withouthis permission. Dipper fights back and by a hair’s chance manages to push theweakened Bill from his mind, killing the demon. Only, Bill has already rootedhimself too deeply into Dipper and all of Bill’s power remains in Dipper,turning him into a demon and forcing him out of the physical plain. Because ofhis human origin, Dipper is the only demon capable of becoming physical withouta rift, although it takes a while for him to figure out how. Now, while Billwas stopped from destroying the world, it was at the cost of the Transcendence.Pretty much the entire world becomes as magical as Gravity Falls and even moredangerous. Dipper becomes known as the demon Alcor and Mabel is his partner incult bashing partner Mizar. There’s a lot of world building (reincarnation,prejudice against non-humans, monsters in everyday life, thousands of years asAlcor, Uncle Dipper, angels, other demons, awesome new characters, etc…) andoverall, the blog is its own fandom that is constantly contributed to. TAU isthe largest, most organized, and highest quality AU that I have ever seen. It’shuge. And fantastic.

DemonicGuardians AU -

Here’sthe main comic behind it. Demons’ can have one human that if theybond with and protect, will make the demon stronger. There’s a catch though. Ifthe human dies, a part of the demon does too. The stronger the bond betweendemon and human, the more damage will be inflicted on the demon when the humandies. Not all humans have a demon, and not all demons have a human. A bunch ofthe cast of GF have demonic guardians, each character having a different levelof bond. Bill Cipher is Dipper’s guardian. Mabel’s is Dot Matrix (used to benamed Tad Strange; might recognize him as the square with the bowler hat).Gideon’s is Kryptos (the star on top his tent). Stanley has Pi Mo (looks kindalike a coin). Pacifica’s is the Lumberjack Ghost. There’s a whole lot of fanmade demons too. The creator isreally cool. Outside of Demonic Guardians AU, she’s made the Danny Phantomcrossover: YouSmell Like Death, the Over the Garden Wall crossover: GardenFalls, and her own really good comic: The Boy Who Fell.

MonsterFalls -

Dipper finds a magic stream called FluviusCantatis, some stuff happens, and everyone in the town gets turnedinto monsters. Dipper’s a Deertaur, Mabel’s a mermaid, Wendy’s a werewolf,Stanley’s a Gargoyle, Stanford’s a sphinx, Gideon’s a vampire, Robbie’s azombie, Soos is a clay homonculus/golem, Pacifica’s a gorgon, Bill’s…humanlike, etc… This AU is mostly fan art and fanfiction. Sometimes the monsterthat a character is turned into is different, but this list is what they’remost commonly depicted as.

Reverse Falls -

I have no idea where this AU came from??? All thecharacters in this have swapped rolls and personalities. Gideon Pines is a kidvisiting Gravity Falls with his cousin/best friend Pacifica Pines(orSoutheast). While there, they meet the psychic twins Mabel and Dipper Gleefulwho run the Tent of Telepathy. The twins are much darker and more powerful thanGideon from Gravity Falls. Will Cipher is an easily terrified Demon who justwants the twins to leave him alone. All the other character’s changes depend onthe artist/writer. Robbie and Wendy usually swap. 

RelativityFalls -

This is essentially an age/generation swap. Twins Stanleyand Stanford go to spend the summer with their Grauntie Mabel. The main switchesare Mabel with Stanley, Dipper with Stanford, Wendy with Dan, Gideon with Bud, Pacificawith Preston, Abuelita(Maria) with Soos, etc… Most of the show is the same,with a few twists and the added personality of having a different character inwhatever situation.

Anti-GravityAU -

Though not to be mistaken for Relativity Falls, Anti-Gravityis also an age swap. Wendy and Soos are young kids who find Journal 3. Mabeland Dipper are teenagers who work for Grunkle Stan at the Mystery Shack.Pacifica has Robbie’s role (dating Dipper, to Wendy’s jealousy). Bud Gleefultakes Gideon’s place as Wendy and Soos’s enemy. Robbie is Soos’s bully. Otherthan that, all characters stay the same.

ReunionFalls -

Dipper and Mabel are separated at birth: Mabel growing upwith their parents in California and Dipper being raised by Grunkle Stan.Eventually, Mabel finds out about Dipper and runs off to Gravity Falls to meethim. Without a twin, Mabel, while still bright and cheerful, is less out goingwhile Dipper, growing up with Wendy and Stan as role  models, is moreconfident. The AU is the twins getting to know each other and bonding.

OnlyChild AU -

Mabel is stillborn, making Dipper an only child. Because ofhis parent’s ever growing grief over losing a child, Dipper is often neglected.Dipper has the same personality as cannon, but it’s buried under self-worth issues,survivor’s guilt, need to be loved, and shyness. He’s a sad child who reallyjust needs a hug. He also knits sweaters; he always wears the red one he made(it looks a bit like Ford’s). The AU is Dipper’s stay at Gravity Falls withStan and eventually reaches to him growing up and gaining a little sister, babyMabel (who both he and his parent’s adore). The AU is all art right now, butthe creator is eventually going to make a fic for it.

Fright Falls -

Mabel gets turned into a vampire.Dipper gets turnedinto a werewolf. The AU is their adventures as creatures of thesupernatural. There’s a lot of cool art for the AU.

ImmortalPines AU -

Immortal Pines is a comic where Bill kills Mabel and Dipper,only to realize that it wasn’t what he wanted. He brings the twins back to lifeand makes them immortal by infusing them with his power. This means that theyonly exist in the dreamscape. The AU is them trying to get back to normalbefore they become too much like Bill.  The artist is cool.

TwinDemons AU -

Mabel and Dipper are the Demons, while Bill ‘Billi’ is the12 year old human. Billi is an innocent, if lacking common sense, kid who’scome to Gravity Falls to stay with his Grunkle Stan. The twins are demons withbig plans that involve Billi, much to his horror.

BlindedAU 

The Society of the Blind Eye doesn’t wipe Dipper’s memoriesof the supernatural, they wipe all his memory.  The Society takes him in,indoctrinating him into their ways. Bill visits and uses Dipper as a spy. TheAU is an amnesic Dipper living with only the Society and Bill as company.

ApocalypseFalls 

Mabel’s decision in Not What He Seems has catastrophicdamage on Gravity Falls. The Shack is destroyed and many peopleundergo….changes: physical, mental, even death. Dipper gains wings whileMabel’s mind spirals into madness. The AU just got rebooted, so the story-lineis unknown at the moment.

  GravityRises -

Another swap AU, this time between personality and symbols.Mabel is Pine Tree, the intellectual and mystery obsessed twin. Dipper isShooting Star, the laid back and creative one. Stan and Ford switch. Pacificatakes Gideon’s role as Crescent Moon, the leader of the Order of the CrescentEye (Bill’s cult). She’s a sociopath and the main antagonist. Gideon takesPacifica’s role as Lone Wolf, the rich kid turned anti-hero. Terrifying withhis magic, even Bill is wary of Gideon. It’s a cool AU that’s very differentfrom the show even though it’s partially a personality swap.

Joseon AU -

An AU where Gravity Falls takes place in the Joseon Kingdomin Korea. Everyone wears traditional clothing of the time period and place ofthe Joseon Kingdom. The AU is mostly fan art.

Coven AU -

Mabel and Dipper are the apprentices of Grunkle Stan in awold where magic is common. Bill’s a magic cat.

GravityKeys  -

In this AU, Gravity Falls is set in Key West, Florida. Mabelhas a chicken instead of a pig, but other than that, most things stay the same.

ChurchAU -

It’s Gravity Falls, but in a church. Bill is a demon. Billis in the Church. Dipper is just so angry at Bill. Things don’t go well.

Kitten DipperAU -

Dipper finds a comb that has a cat shaped handle. When hebrushes his hair with it, he gets turned into a kitten! The AU is Dipper thecat.

CarnivàleFalls 

It’s the 1930s. Mabel and Dipper go to stay with theirGrunkle Stan at his traveling freak show. Gideon is a faith healer. The DustBowl is a problem.

SpyAU -

Stan and Ford are spys with Fiddleford building theirgadgets. They’re trying to take down the Cipher Organization.

CampCipher -

Gravity Falls, but as a summer camp. The teens arecounselors while all the kids are campers. Nice art.

Never Human AU 

Stanley Pines was stillborn, replaced with a Fae orChangeling. When in Fae mode, Stan had six glowing green eyes. There’s someangst of Stan learning to deal with the fact that he’s a monster and notactually related to his family. It’s later revealed that Dipper is also Fae,which really freaks him out. Mabel is super accepting, so everything turns outfine. It’s a really great AU with fantastic fics and art.

GhostStan AU -

Stan is a level 10 ghost. It’s awesome, and Stanley makes agreat ghost. There’s a lot of sad. Stan’s dead. The AU has a whole bunch offanfiction and fanart.

JomlAU/Grim AU -

Stanley befriends the Grim, omen of death. As soon as Ford finds out what Stan’s done he freaks out because, well, Stanley has the omen of death as his pet. Really cute and funny AU. Got some angst too though. Also, Stan makes his own journal.
