He wrapped his arms around her neck and snuggled close to her. “I stay with you?”

"Unfortunately, that's up to your papa, I can't decide that." She slowly petted his soft hair.

"She doesn’t like you and tells me that you’re bad! But you’re not bad Gina! I love you!"

His outburst was slightly surprising, but it warmed the brunette's heart. Reaching forward she scooped Roland up into her arms. "I love you too." She whispered.

"Oh…" He said, his eyes filling with tears. "Gina?" He sniffled. "I don’t want mama to be here. She’s mean."

Regina tried not to smile at his words, though they did leave her feeling satisfaction. "Oh dear, she's your mother, how is she mean?"

Regina blinked. “It’s a girl that is in a relationship with someone.” She hoped that was clear enough.

"Oh…are you papas girlfriend?"

Regina sighed and looked away. "Now that your mother is here, no. I was though."

"I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Sheriff Swan may be new in town, but she’s certainly garnered the public’s favour." Mr Gold gave her a withering smirk. "But, of course, I’m not you. So perhaps you will return for round two of a game you cannot win.” He chuckled heartlessly. “Though I suppose it will make for fine entertainment.”

Regina glanced sideways at the imp, annoyed by his truthful words. "Perhaps my round two will be less physical then. I have ways of winning." She slid her glove back on and smirked at him. "Without entertaining you of course."

Regina sighed. "I wore these kinds of dresses because they were revealing and that gave me more power. Now I just feel...like a slut."
