I decided a little while ago that I would travel to either the US or Canada at the end of year, but I had no idea I'd be lucky enough to go with my best friend. It's so important for me because all my life I had never had a best friend. I had friends, but they always already had best friends. Then in April 2013 I met Shi, a month or so after that she need a roommate. Despite my hesitations, I decided to confront my fears and live with housemates. She already had a couple of best friends so I didn't think there was room for me, but fast forward to 2015 and she told me she considered me one of her best friends. And now we're traveling together. I know she's excited but I don't think she understands how much this means to me, all my childhood and teenage dreams are coming true. We've both been through so much together and have given each other support and seen the growth and change necessary to live the happy lives we were destined to live. It's such a special friendship and it means the world to me.
