This is exactly why he's my favorite main character.
"In the same way that your heart feels and your mind thinks, you, mortal beings, are the instrument by which the universe cares. If you choose to care, then the universe cares. If you don't, then it doesn't." -- Brennan Lee Mulligan, D20, Fantasy High
On the subject about parents needing to control their child's reading and invade their privacy in order to "protect" them from "inappropriate material:
Until I was in....college? At least? The vast, vast majority of the books I read were either a) assigned by my school or b) (the vast majority of my reading) provided to me by my mother.
My mom is a librarian. She filled our rooms with books, picked especially for us. She pointed out books on the shelves in our home library (separate from our bedroom shelves) that she thought we would like. She bought us books for birthdays, Christmas, and just stacks of recommendations. She once paid me $10 to read one of the Cirque Du Freak books because she said I needed "to be exposed to bad literature."
She respected my privacy in room, didn't go through my belongings. She explicitly pointed out to us that she wouldn't know if we took a particular book of the shelf, as long as we returned it, if we didn't want her to know we were reading it. She purposely brought us books that she didn't care for herself, because she thought we might find them valuable or enjoyable.
And if we wanted to read something she thought might upset or disturb us, she would explain why. She wouldn't stop us from reading it - just ask us to check in with her, to talk through it.
And so when I read something that upset or disturbed me, I would go to her. She would listen and talk through it with me.
If she said she didn't think I would like something, or that a book might disturb me, or that she thought I should wait until I was older, I listened to her.
She didn't need restrictions or control to protect me. Because she proved I could trust her.
Controlling kids is never about "protecting" them. It's just about control.

"exercise will give you more energy" gets said a lot as a common piece of health advice but I think it needs to be expanded into "exercising will make you tired while you do it, and you will continue to be tired immediately afterwards, sometimes even the next day too, but over months of consistent exercise, your muscles will get stronger and therefore get less tired out by everyday activities, making you feel like day-to-day life takes less physical energy than it used to"
Post possession! Stiles moodboard
Cis men are trying to deflect and deny their manifest sexual abuse of women by creating the fictional 'trans women offender'.
Don't trust cis rape culture to protect women.

sometimes you need dialogue tags and don't want to use the same four

stiles: *writing in his diary in a glitter pen* I'm losing my sense of humanity
[post teen wolf movie]
stiles, about a plan to bring derek back to life: ... And I know that, if derek was here, he'd agree with me. derek, who has been haunting him (romantic) since he died: No, I wouldn't. stiles, who can see and hear him: [ignores him]
Feelings become one
Stiles, after being sent back in time 10 years and being faced with his husband Derek who now hates him again, rolling up his sleeves: I'm about to speed run this bitch.
Second shadow

Imagine a No Hard Feelings Au where Derek is about to loose the land to his family home and needs money quick so he answers an ad where itâs asking for some one to date their son and get him out of his shell before he goes off to college and heâll get paid. But things get serious when stiles actually falls in love with him.
What if Stiles is like super withdrawn (maybe his mom died a little later in life or it was more traumatic to him idk) and the Sheriff comments one day to Derek that itâs the first time the Sheriff has seen Stiles smile with anyone outside of himself and maybe Scott? I bet Derek goes home feeling real shitty đ
I NEED THIS ! Pls someone write this omg
Keigo didnât want anything from you. He was busy and dedicated about being a hero. He had a dream to achieve after all. A world where heroes wasnât needed. A partner, read a romantic partner, wasnât really in his head. What for ? He works, eat, sleep. All in circle. Where could he find the time to rest with you by his side ?
But one day, he finds you, in your hero costume, looking at the birds fly high in the blue sky.
âWhat youâre doing ?â He asks.
âThinking how great it must be to have nothing in mind and just feel the winds like that. Above everything.â You responded.
Oh and your voice was so soft, your eyes so shiny and you looked so tired. He wanted to take you with him. Fly above the loud city, above the infinity of the ocean but you interrupted his thoughts.
âBut you must be tired too. Being so free, you can be even more lost right? Nothing matters when this free, because why would it ? You can do anything.â
He didnât know what to respond. Your words hit right in his cut and suddenly, he was feeling it all too.
âWhen you are lonely yes. But if you have someone to share that with, freedom may be the needed thing.â
You looked at him, mostly understanding. And for the first time, he wanted to have the time to rest with someone. With you.
