I’m far too sensitive to pretend I possess skin thicker than a hippopotamus.
I do my best proofreading after I hit publish.

Biggest lesson of 2025!
A few things I learnt reading A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
• Sometimes you need to accept the goodness that people closest to you, see in you. Even if you believe the contrary to be true, that image people have of you becomes your saving grace.
• We cannot compare and categorize people's sufferings or their struggles. However, some people truly have it much worse than we do. The universe dealt them the shittiest hand, and they are left with no choice but to deal with it the way they see best.
• You never know the battles people secretly fight. Always be kind. (Cannot emphasize this enough.)
• People will surprise you. The pain they hold, the compassion they offer, the wisdom they embody, the clarity they possess, the depth with which they feel, and how their humanness shows up unannounced. It will all surprise you.

the procrastinator’s mind will invent distractions you’ve never conceived of in order to avoid tasks even a dog could do.
The procrastinator is crying in the corner after reading this post.
I don't like extremely tidy homes. Those unnaturally neat homes with no creases on the beds, where the couches look like they've never been sat on, where the cushions are placed using a caliper, and where the centerpiece is never off-center, at least to some degree. Homes that always smell like an air freshener and are always quiet.
I love homes that are organized enough to know they're clean and messy enough to know they are lived in. Where every artifact has a backstory and holds meaning. Where faded bedsheets have paw prints that never washed off. Homes with mismatched cushions. Where a few things are always out of place. Where some things are only found with the other's help. Where something is not thrown away just because it's old. Where conversations are loud and disagreement even louder.
Please normalize saying we love a book without remembering anything about it except how it made us feel.
I miss my future husband.
Things I have a complicated relationship with:
- Food
- My mother
- Religion
- Mirror

Is there a general sense of desertion that everyone is feeling? Or is it just the people around me? Is there an emotional drought we all are going through?
