I'll tell mine, then I want to hear some of yours!
* I do not, I repeat I DO NOT want to hear anybody chew their food. Especially an apple.
* I also don't want to hear someone breathing. Breathe properly.
* If someone sneezes more than 3 times, I will not say 'bless-you' again. Get it under control.
* When people don't use their indicators... Do they know that it actually comes standard with the car? It wasn't actually an optional extra that you missed out on...
IN *clap* DI *clap* CATE *clap*
* Please don't cry at work about personal issues (not talking about if you are my friend). We all have issues. Cry at home when I don't feel obliged to ask you what is wrong. You will probably get a "there, there with a tap on the shoulder". Nothing more, nothing less.
* STOP SNIFFING
* Why do some people insist on making uncomfortable, awkward, small talk? Just, no.
* Stop smiling at me if I don't know you. It is weird.
My list can carry on, but then I will come across as a very unhappy, sour person. Which I really am not. I just know who to surround myself with!

My initial thought of Brighton was that it would be an old, rundown little coastal town. I was very surprised at what Brighton had to offer when we visited!
Loads of old buildings, quirky restaurants and fun shops, not forgetting the magnificent Royal Pavilion, which is definitely worth a visit!
Brighton is like a breath of fresh air. Â
In front of the Royal pavilion, are beautiful gardens and on the day we were there, we had front row âseatsâ to a wannabe rocker, rocking out on his guitar to passers-by. Â
A beautiful ice-rink takes up the space behind the pavilion. One of the prettiest ice rinks I have seen thus far. (Maybe because you have the pavilion as a view!)
Brighton Pier! Absolutely freezing but such fun! Just imagine; clear and fresh winter skies with the smell of mini doughnuts in the air, arcade games and a mini amusement park, souvenir stalls and food stands... Sounds like a fun day in Brighton, right? Well yes it was!
Did I mentioned the waveless ocean, (is waveless even a word?) and the pebble beach?
After having tons of fun at the Pier, we made our way to Choccywoccydoodah... Yes, this is the name of the cutest Chocolate Shop EVER! Everything is handcrafted and made with only chocolate. Definitely a must visit!Â
Amazing, I know!!
Oh, and the Duck House!! A shop where you will find a different kind of gift... A bath duck. ALL shapes, ALL sizes and any theme you can think of. Literally any duck from Betty Boop to a Rabbi. I swear!Â
All the shops in Brighton just makes you want to go in and explore and all the streets makes you want to take a photo or ten.
I loved it more than I ever thought I would. Have you been to Brighton? What are your favourite parts?Â
...The exact question I was asked when browsing around in a Whisky Shop (because I was to cold to even attempt to go outside in the icy wind and rain). This question made us giggle, mainly because of the accent. We will remember this forever.
Edinburgh, you are many, many things and probably the only city that can get away with being described as cold, wet, dark, gloomy and BEAUTIFUL.
Just walking in the streets of Edinburgh was an amazing experience. I had to have my camera ready at all times. The historic buildings, amazing monuments and pretty cobble-stone streets, around every corner. (btw, I cannot stand the sound of my hand luggage being dragged over cobble-stone streets, urgh!)
The sky is more grey than the southern parts of the UK. This gave Edinburgh a gloomy and almost eerie feel. It was cold and wet, but the Edinburgh Christmas Market with their Mulled Wine and Pretzels made all my shivers and shakes disappear.Â
While visiting the Castle, the sun decided to make an appearance and, oh my god, I have never seen such beautiful light shining down from heaven before. It illuminated the afternoon sky, the castle and the surrounding houses so beautifully. At this moment, I fell a little in love with this city. Â
The ice-rink in St Andrewâs Square somehow captivated my inner child and I just had to go ice-skating. We skated, we laughed, we sweated and we laughed some more. Â
Experiencing the sounds of a Bag Piper in Edinburgh was obviously mandatory. and so we did! When I look at the video taken of this Bag Piper, my soul gets all tearful. It was just so special. Wouldn't trade this feeling for the world.Â
Would've loved to see Highland Cows... Just to take pictures of these gorgeous, hairy cows. All the more reason to visit Scotland again!
Disappointed to say (Iâm lying) that I didn't try Haggis or Black Pudding. Â My dutch courage went flying out the window when even the thought came to mind. Iâll leave this to all the brave travellers out there.
What were your favourite parts of Scotland? Perhaps the Haggis? Leave your comments below!
I donât even know where to start! From the moment we landed in England I was overwhelmed with happiness that I literally wanted to burst into tears everytime my silly mind reminds me I AM ACTUALLY IN ENGLAND! (I have been waiting a lifetime to visit this magnificent country and finally, the time came where I had my turn and it was more beautiful than I could ever imagine).
We basically had four seasons in one day, temperatures ranging from below zero to not-so-cold. From rain to snow to overcast to sunny. Now I know why they say dress in layers and wear a waterproof jacket when outdoors. This didnât damper our moods at all. We were out exploring Brighton, London and Scotland for the most part of our holiday.
In this blog post I will be sharing my favourite parts about London with you. In the next few, I will be sharing Brighton and Scotland.Â
My favourite parts, or rather my favourite, favourite parts because everything is my favourite but some things were my favourite, favourite.  Â
The Underground and how efficiently it works. The fact that people (most of them) follow the rules and it just makes everything run so much smoother. I am such a rule nerd!
The cleanliness of the streets.
The cappuccino and hot chocolate from Costa. Drinking my cappuccino or hot chocolate from Costa and just staring at Tower Bridge. Tower Bridge is one beautiful piece of architecture that I just cannot get enough of.
The beauty that the Christmas Season brought with all the Christmas lights, ice rinks, Christmas markets and roasted nutty smell in the air.
The modern lifestyle and architecture surrounding all the historical architecture and history.
Just walking and being in awe of everything London is made up of.Â
St Jamesâs Park with its resident squirrels and the way they run up to you and actually climb up your legs to see if you have food. (Oh, well now that I put that into words, I actually feel sorry for them...)
The enormous beauty, called St Paulâs Cathedral. Wow!
The quirky (and sort of dodgy) streets in Brink Lane.
Camden, oh Camden! And Camden Market with its delicious Fish-and-Chips Stalls and Mulled Wine Stands.
The Pork Belly-and-crackling sandwiches from Borough Market.
International Cheese at Victoria Station with their fresh cheese and mouth-watering, fresh sandwiches.
The many fragrances you smell when passing a Lush store.
Peggy Porschen Cakes and their Pretty-in-Pink decor.
Dominique Ansel Bakery and their Blooming Hot Chocolate (I am not telling you what this is - just order and see (and taste) for yourselves!)
Nottinghill. Just everything, (Santa, please can I have an apartment in Nottinghill for Christmas this year?)
The jingling of the clock in Leicester Square.
The way London lights up at night, the busses, the lights, the London Eye, the Streets... I could not take enough photos!!Â
I have a feeling my list is basically never-ending, so Iâll stop there.
Oh, wait, their toiletpaper!! WHAAAT!??? Feels like hopes and dreams!
I would love to hear what your favourite parts about London is! Comment below!
So every year itâs the same motto that goes around: New Year, New Me! I donât like that. I prefer: New Year, Better Me or perhaps, New Year, Improved Me. Reason being - I like âmeâ for me, I donât want to be a NEW me, but I do think that I can change a few things to become a better version of âmeâ.Â
I also think making unattainable goals just puts you up for failure. Make your resolutions attainable and reasonable and you are more likely to stay motivated.
So here are my resolutions for 2018:
I cuss, so this year I am going to try and cuss less. Yes less, not stop because LBH, that is just tooo boring.
I am going to save more every month. Not thousands more, just more than I used to, even by a couple of hundred.
I am going to drink more water. No, not the recommended 8 glasses per day but rather 2 more glasses than I drink now. (Small steps, people!)
I am going to go to more park-runs. (Iâve only ever done one, so this year I might aim for 12, that is once a month, so very possible.)
I am going to be at least 10 minutes early for work everyday. I used to come 5 minutes early or be exactly on time. This year I am getting up earlier and will be at work at least 10 minutes earlier. See? very possible!
I am going to try (really hard) to not be so pessimistic about a frikkin Monday. I will embrace a Monday as a fresh start to a new week. This Blue Monday BS is really to much for me to mentally, emotionally and physically cope with. So bring on Mondays! Yay! (okay, maybe not that enthusiastic at first, but I will get there) Maybe I will become one of those Monday lovers that spread love and sunshine around on a Monday. Like Motivation-Monday-Mandy... Mmmmm... (or maybe not)
Lastly, I am going to continue writing my blog. I have 5 followers and not sure anyone else is really interested but I will continue writing because I enjoy it. Â
What are your New Year, Better Me resolutions? Share them in the comments below! I would love to hear them!!

Sea, sun, art, wine, mountains, beach... These are the things that come to mind when I think about the beautiful mother-city of South Africa, Cape Town.
From the moment we land in Cape Town, I feel like I am on holiday - or is it the much slower pace that forces you to feel like you are on holiday? The slower pace takes a few days to get used to but once you are used to it, it totally makes you relax and live.
I love taking long drives along the gorgeous coastline, especially near Hout Bay, stopping at quirky cafes and shops, having fresh fried fish and chips from Snoekies and sipping on Sauvignon Blanc while watching the sunset. I can almost smell the Cape Town air. Is it just me - or does the sun set more beautifully in the this city?
This is the only city where you can have wine for breakfast! Driving from wine farm to wine farm, tasting all the delicious wines Cape Town has to offer. Â
Fairview is very commercial but a definite must. The food is fresh, the goats are cute and the cheese... amazing! I can sit at fairview for hours, stuffing my face with cheese and washing it down with their Rose Quartz, Homtini or Petite Sirah!
I also enjoyed Vredenheim and their Soup and Wine tasting. The perfect Winter Warmer! We were at this wine estate for hours. Strolling, taking photos and admiring the gorgeous scenery surrounding it.Â
We had tons of fun at Wild Clover Brewery. Seeing how they brew their beer, tasting all their beer and obviously making boomerangs of cheersing! (Is that even a word?)
A ride up Table Mountain is basically mandatory every time you visit Cape Town, just because the view from the top of Table Mountain never gets old!
We were literally exhausted after every day from all the exploring, walking, photographing and eating.
There is so much to do and to see in Cape Town. Every time I am there, I explore another part. Oh, don,t forget the Old Biscuit Mill!Â
What are your favourite places to visit when in Cape Town?Â
My mom-in-law has this super cute tradition of baking and building gingerbread houses every year, before Christmas. I wanted to join in the tradition 3 years ago, so I bought a gingerbread house kit.
The first year was such a fail it is not even worth mentioning. So much so, that i skipped that tradition last year because I could emotionally not cope with another fail.
This year, I decided that I will attempt this again! I bought all my ingredients, organised the kitchen and set 5 hours aside for doing nothing except focusing on my gingerbread house. And so the baking began...
I decided to make a double portion of the dough, leaving room for mistakes. The side walls went into the oven and came out beautifully! So did the front and back walls and the roof! No breaks! They were bakes to perfection!
When my âroofâ pieces were cooled off, I decorated them and I loved how they turned out!
Cute, right!?
The time came to decorate my house and I was so excited. So much care and attention went into decorating my house. My edible decorations included mini smarties, strawberry jubes, chocolate chips and sweet edible glue. I felt like a kid again! I just could not wait for the finished product!
And TA-DA! My house was finally done! After 4 hours of baking and decorating.
My gingerbread house was the piece of perfection of my day. Standing oh-so-happy in the tray I placed it in. Ready for Hansel and Gretel to move in....
...and then...
Yip, and then life decided the remind me that NOTHING is this simple.
My beautiful masterpiece of gingerbread cookie collapsed! It literally stood long enough for me to take a picture. The whole frikkin roof gave in and broke! It felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest. I held my breath as a watched the perfectly iced roof slowly fall to the side. Yes, it was in slow motion and yes it was really this dramatic.
I was shattered and sad, then angry, then frustrated and then sad again. This is when I decided that Hansel and Gretel suck and their house sucks and baking sucks and âTis not the season to be jolly and I totally understand why the Grinch stole Christmas!!!
After about half an hour of a well deserved emotional breakdown, i realised I had enough dough left to just bake Gingerbread Men. Â
They look cute, taste delicious and they did not break!
So after 5 hours of baking and decorating and baking some more I got a broken gingerbread house, a sore back, a filthy kitchen, an inner demented hate for my gingerbread house kit and several cute gingerbread men.
Moral of my story: I am not a great builder, I donât have patience for this, I will stick to baking cookies and I still have a broken gingerbread house.
Etiquette... A word that may be pronounced and understood by all but is not practiced by all.  According to the Dictionary it means: â...the customary code of polite behaviour in society...â See? It is not hard to have manners, or is it...? The reason for me writing this post is because, due to being a photographer, I come across bad-mannered people all the time and since, I have come to the conclusion that people in general are rude and lack etiquette. I am hoping that this post will set some people right because clearly your parents didn't do a great job.
Did you know that a seating chart was something, some people just cannot fathom? I was very surprised that some guests would take it upon themselves to re-arrange the seating plan at a wedding to suit themselves. Could you be THAT selfish to just take other peoplesâ seats? Or are you THAT insecure that you can not have dinner at the table where you were placed, because God forbid, you should feel all alone for 30 minutes? Do you know what a fine art it is to set up a seating chart for a wedding in the first place? #clearlynot
To RSVP or not to RSVP, that should not be the question! You should RSVP almost immediately after getting an invitation. Surely, you check your calendar the day you get the invitation and reply âyesâ or ânoâ - if not, then I am assuming that you are waiting for something better to come up. Also, the RSVP date is the latest date that you can reply whether you are attending or not - usually this date is for a specific purpose such as catering.
Mmmm, the infamous dress code... If the dress code says âsmart casualâ - Iâm pretty sure it doesnât mean your ripped jeans from 2012. When it says âstunningâ - it doesnât mean your T-shirt dress with your Adidas sneakers; and when it says âcasualâ, it definitely doesnât mean your best ball gown. Just stick to the dress code, because at the end of the day you are the one that will look like an idiot. #justsaying
Time, time, time... If you are invited to a brunch, a lunch, a dinner, a party, a wedding, please be on time. The most ridiculous thing I have seen, were guests arriving at a wedding AFTER the first kiss. Seriously? Why didnât you just stay home? Oh, I get it - you came for the food!
Now that I got all these pet peeves off my chest - I hope you made mental notes and will not be the subject of my next blog post!
Most ladies sound mortified when I tell them I am married to a Gamer. I get why, but I would still choose my gamer over and over again.
Being a Gamerâs Wife means that you have to accept that: His steam account is where all his money goes, so no cute romantic gifts for you - instead, new games, virtual gun skins and fire-arms for him. Â
Most men have selective hearing, but being married to gamer, hearing is really non-existent as they wear their headphones most of the time. This means - there is no husband waiting for you by the door, because he doesn't even know that you are home. There is no âYes darling? Iâm comingâ answers to your distress calls because he is to busy killing people on-line.Â
If you think that your life is more important than a CS:GO Comp - my God, youâve got it all wrong. I literally had to put my emergency aside because the famous line âI canât help you now, Iâm in the middle of a comp!â interrupted my emergency.
Peaceful sleeping is also something that has gone out the window. Hearing swearing and screaming until 3 am on a Saturday morning is not the ideal beauty sleep.
When the internet is down, my husband turns into King Kong gone mad (this is entertaining though).
Sounds like the perfect husband, right? RIGHT!Â
When he is gaming - I have uninterrupted me-time. I can do my nails, binge on Vanderpump Rules, enjoy my chocolate without having to share and be on social media without having to hear the phrase âare you still instagramming?â.
I never have to worry about where my husband is, with who he is or whether he is safe - because he will be in his man-cave (where he was 5 hours ago).
I get to know the gamer side of him, which is extremely funny ALL the time. The screams, the yells, the swearing and the gaming lingo. The gaming lingo kills me. Anyone dating a gamer knows that these are hysterical.Â
I kinda got into playing PUBG, so now we have something to talk about (when he is not gaming). Â
He also made friends with a Belgium guy and this guy happens to have a really nice girlfriend - which is now my friend. You can really meet all kinds of people from all over the world. I love this.
Yes, a gamerâs life is all about gaming. Now, PUBG and I have taken the backseat as we have to make room for COD World War II. This reminds me - I need to find a new series to binge on...
Even though, gaming takes up majority of his time - I wont get salty as he could be doing way worse things with his spare time. So from my side - game on babe and enjoy winning âdem chicken dinners!
Yes, this is the name of my blog. Why? Well, hereâs the thing...Â
When you reach mid-twenties and you have been dating someone for a while, the same question always comes up - âSo, when are you guys getting engaged?â I didn't mind this question, it was exciting to think about it, until you are engaged... Once you are engaged, the question changes slightly to âWhen is the wedding? You must be sooo excited?!â Donât get me wrong - still very exciting - but stop asking. You will know when you get the invitation and if you donât, well then thereâs obviously a good reason for it.
Then the wedding comes and goes, now the pressure is on again, with the question: âWhen are you having kids?". Donât be fooled, this is not where it ends! (I am not even joking!). The question that comes up the most is: âhowâs married life?â. Seriously? Itâs obviously great if you see us laughing and joking and picking up weight... #justsaying
So here you go, the effect that marriage had on me, the Mrs effect... (and still has on me). Our first year was a breeze - probably because we have been living together before we got married. We both feel that we have a stronger-than-ever, unbreakable bond. If we werenât besties before - we definitely are now! Â
You learn to accept the small things that irritate you, that canât change - and letâs be honest we all have quirks and moods and bad habits that gets on your partners nerves! Like, leaving a wet towel on the bed, sleeping like a hooligan that leads to buying new pillows every month, squeezing the toothpaste from the middle, leaving empty shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower, leaving pairs of shoes in every room (like he is marking his territory, but TG itâs shoes and not pee) and the list goes on. At the end of the day - these small things are really just that - SMALL things and you learn to accept it and live with it. I mean, like I said - we all have them and for sure I have tons.Â
Somehow, their hobbies rub off on you... I literally became a Gamer, overnight! Have you ever? I can play PUBG for hours and I love it. Yes, I am a noob but I love that too. Pretty sure if he could rank up in PUBG I would not be allowed to play, using his steam account. Â
I can honestly say, the effect that Mrs has on me is amazing. I am loving our life as Mr & Mrs, so much so, I am naming my blog after my new title. So to answer the most annoying question, âHowâs married life?â (*say in annoying voice) - it is legit AF.Â

So, this is my first article on my blog. As you know, when you create an account on Tumblr, they ask you what you are interested in, as if the list should be short. So after taking nearly 5 minutes to click on everything I am interested in, finally - here I amâŚ
I am a sort-of normal 20-something year old, that studied, got my degree and now work in the field in which I would like to pursuit my career. I am newly married and loving it. I have tons of hobbies, which include photography, Instagramming (is this even a word?) and learning to play the keyboard (which has been taking more than a year). I think i might be a borderline wanna-be blogger - but we will see how that goes.
I have loads of loves which range from Champagne to Margarita Pizzas to shoes to travelling. My interests are seriously endless. You will probably pick that up in my frivolous posts about my life and more so, my life as Mrs.
I guess it could be seriously boring reading about another personâs life, but letâs see how it goes. Â
HAPPYÂ N O V E M B E R!
