broken memories || jeremy
Faye wasn’t sure what brought her to the bedroom that she had frequented over a year ago. Maybe it had been two years at this point, or three. Time was becoming a bit blurry as it kept going on. She wasn’t used to being forced to stay in one town for so long. She knew what had happened between them, and now Jeremy did as well, but it didn’t seem to matter to him. And under normal circumstances, that wouldn’t matter to her, but it was Jeremy.
She couldn’t remember when, and she couldn’t remember who Daniel was speaking to, but she remembered what he had said in reference to Jeremy. Jeremy is different. It was true. No matter how much she wanted to deny it… Jeremy was different. There was just something about him that pulled Faye in. Perhaps at the time it was his confusion and pain that her manipulative and angry side wanted to feed off of. Or maybe, just maybe, he reminded her of the humanity she so desperately still wanted to feel inside of herself.
Whatever it was, Faye was still sitting in the quiet little room, staring at Jeremy’s desk, waiting for him to show up. All she could hope was that Daniel wouldn’t come through the door instead. This was a moment for she and Jeremy to actually work through whatever it was they needed to work through. It was a rare moment that Faye was willing to work through an issue with words instead of her actions, but it was for Jeremy. Because… well… he’s Jeremy.
As soon as Jeremy reentered his house he went toward the stairs, heading straight for his bedroom. He knew he didn't have to go to work that day and Daniel was over at the Humphrey's, so he guessed he could use this time to do some homework, or take a nap first. He wasn't entirely sure of which one would win out yet. From what he could tell Elena wasn't home, so she wouldn't be around to try to get him to do said homework either. When he reached his bedroom he opened the door and shut it behind him, letting his backpack easily drop to the floor. It wasn't until he actually looked around and started toward his bed that he realized he wasn't alone.
There was Faye Salvatore, sitting in his room. Jeremy was used to finding someone waiting in his room for him at this point, but he always expected that someone to be Daniel, not Faye. While seeing Faye in his room wasn't exactly an unfamiliar sight for him now that he had his memories back, he still wasn't expecting this. And he was a little nervous, actually. “Faye.” He stopped a few feet away from her, almost feeling like he should be a little cautious right now. “What are you doing here, in my room?”
Ever since Faye gave him his memories back, he had done a pretty good job with avoiding her, and all of the feelings and thoughts that now came with seeing her. It was still odd for him having those memories back, remembering the way he felt about her, they way they were together. A part of him was still pissed at her for taking it away, he knew. Though he really just didn't know how to handle her now. While he liked to think that she cared about him back then, from what he knew about Faye he was pretty sure she was never going to want some kind of permanent relationship from him, and he was no longer in the position to offer her one anyway. So what did she want from him?
