I visualized the Alcorian Myth Cycle into a fairly readable graph. I imagine this would be used in-universe to discuss mythology and history surrounding Alcor as an entity.

hits the bong again and looks directly at the camera knowingly
this is how eve got expelled from Eden
I like how bong can mean both penis and that big vertical disk that makes a lot of noise.
that's dong and gong. bong means neither of those things
This edible (fruit from the tree of knowledge) ain’t doing shit.

Someone asked me why I give my creatures top scars and it's to remind people of the trans existence. Should my work ever become widely popular, I want it known a trans man created the art. If my art is still loved when I'm gone, I want those scars to remind people of my identity and existence. To give these creatures my scars is a reminder of trans existence baked into the work itself. It cannot be removed. My creatures are protectors, warriors, and carry with them a greater existence than a simple two-part binary. With their scars, I call out to all the trans people who live in this generation with me. I pay homage to all those who paved the road before us. I plant a message to those who will come after us that we were here.
So, yes, I give my creatures top scars. Not as an aesthetic or fad, but as a permanent mark of who I am. And, as a signal to all my peers that we are not alone and we will always exist.
My beasts see you. I see you.
the trolley problem vs. systemic oppression: a comic.
I'm really glad to see that everyone seems to be having a good time with The Magnus Protocol, and my heart is very full with all the wonderful comments people are making, but I do need to flag something up.
For some of these episodes, a lot of folks are giving me credit for stuff I did not actually write. The cases for episodes 3 and 4 were both by guest writers, Graeme Patrick and Cole Weavers respectively, and they really deserve some love thrown their way.
That's not to minimise my own part: me and Alex certainly do editing work on them, and add in a few bits here and there to make sure everything cohesively fits in with the overall story and tone of the show, but if you enjoyed these episodes, then Graeme and Cole are the ones to thank for it.
And for that matter, Alex wrote episode 2 and deserves more of the accolades for how good that one was than I think he got (my edits just made it a bit... squishier).
Protocol is much more of a team effort than Archives was and so while, in a broad sense, you can still lay most of the blame for bad things happening to characters you love squarely at my feet, it's genuinely important to pay attention to the "written by" section of the credits this time around, 'cause often it's not gonna be my name there, and someone else deserves the thanks for giving you a horrible treat.

The difference between TMA and TMagP statements in a single image
begging and pleading PLEASE let sam and perhaps also celia visit tmagp!Jon and/or tmagp!Martin and they just. Have nothing to do with any of this. They are not the jmart they are looking for. And everyone is so confused because jmart are like "yeah sorry we have no idea what you're on about" and Sam is like "yeah cool no I get that Hey Have You Ever Done Voice Acting By Any Chance"

My honest reaction
[ID: The metronome meme. One side of the dial says "i want TMA's ending to be kept vague and open-ended it's better that way" and the other side reads "MY FUCKING GUYS GRAAAAHHHH". The metronome rapidly swinging from side to side reads "me rn". end ID]

girl help I'm getting they/them'd by well-meaning people who don't know what a tomboy is
This feeling is strange and complicated. On the one hand it's legit quite cool that nonbinary pronouns are becoming more widespread! On the other, I've spent my whole life pursuing interests and hobbies and ideals that weren't seen as particularly feminine, and when I was younger this was a major source of bullying and stress alongside some generalized misogyny taking the form of "you can't do or be anything you think is cool because you are innately inferior and to do otherwise means violating your nature," and it took me a while to conclude that this was just straight horseshit top to bottom and I could do whatever I wanted and present myself however I wanted without in any way being Not A Girl, and now it's like the exact same concept has flipped sides and is coming from a point of theoretical validation but still calculates out to "that's not very ladylike of you, you must be something else". anyway she/her thanks gang
I think it's like. the understanding that the gender binary is a small part of a much wider space of identities is separate from the understanding that a lot of that gender binary is a false dichotomy that artificially walls off universal human experiences behind specific pronouns and while the first concept is gaining wider understanding the second is lagging a little, which means "I am a girl and I like doing boy things" reads as "oh I've heard about this, you must be one of the Others who don't do the binary" rather than "the concept of 'boy things' is stupid from the jump"
just to be 100% clear
what this post is NOT talking about: using they/them pronouns for someone you don't know, aren't sure of, hasn't had a chance to introduce themselves, etc.
what this post IS talking about: my highly personal experience seeing some people "correcting" my commenters that were using she/her pronouns for me, because, despite me exclusively using she/her pronouns and saying so whenever asked, through no action of mine they had gotten the idea that I was using "they/them".
