And we are all learning how to sculpt beauty out of what we have, and make wonders out of what we don’t. And this – is this not love? Ours is a world is full of mothers who sacrifice, children who leave home to chase dreams, dreamers who weave the future with threads of science and toil and heart – do they not deserve our love songs? There are approximately two billion seconds in an average person’s lifetime. Two billion heartbeats that could be spent watching strangers reading on the train, catching secret smiles, jumping into oceans. Two billion moments shared with seven billion people wired to care, built to be kind, driven by the same primal need to survive. And yet.You cannot write love poems, they tell me.
