I weep over the St. Thomas More references in Valjean’s character. His hair turning white the night before trial???? Thomas More also suffered from the same condition, canities subita, before his execution. More was executed for holding steadfast in his faith (not denouncing the Pope) despite knowing that this could be the end of his life (he was sentenced to treason and executed.) (very short explanation of a very nuanced event sry)
