also this appointment ain't about this, but I really wish I knew what was up with my fuckin arm. It's always fluctuated between "pretty much normal" and "ow oof ouch my nerves (?)" ever since whatever the fuck happened to it a couple years back, but recently it's started acting up about 1.5 hours into the 2 hour long drives I do for work and it's Really uncomfortable :/

#I'd love to get it looked at but last time I tried I got jack shit out of it besides a couple thousand dollars in urgent care fees so #I'm not exactly inclined to try again #it doesn't hurt THAT bad‚ especially compared to when it first got injured #but it'd be nice if it y'know. didn't hurt *at all*

my appointment's been cancelled (twice) and now my pcp isn't even available to book anymore? did she retire out of nowhere or what

but anyway. that means I gotta go see some new person at the same clinic or st and maaaaaaan. It'll probably be fine but I hope I don't have to idk. re-prove that I need meds or st.

I still feel really bad about dropping out of the game dev stuff I was doing in college, but then I remember how much ai was pushed on us in a couple classes and how it's almost certainly gotten worse over time and I think I was probably right to leave.

At least I got some basics in; that's really the most important thing bc it gives me enough of a foundation that I could probably teach myself pretty well if I could just sit down and make myself actually do it

I miss having classes tho, that kind of external structure really forces me to Actually do whatever it is I wanna do

#Once I get my adhd meds in a couple days I wanna try to Make A Daily Schedule and stick to it but uuuhhh #we'll see how it goes #not a strict schedule bc that'd never last but like. idk just something more organized than the absolutr nothing I'm doing now #also. even if I did get a game dev degree I probably wouldn't have gotten a job out of it #and if I DID then I probably wouldn't've survived for long

ugh I'm trying to organize my books with an app so I can make sure don't accidentally buy duplicates of stuff when I'm out thrifting, but it's really annoying when like half of the books don't have barcodes. and then half of THOSE don't even have isbn numbers

#I'm not like suuuuuper worried about buying duplicates but it's happened a couple of times and it's just a waste of money #and space‚ at least until I can redonate them #This is mostly an issue with non-fiction books‚ especially if the titles aren't in english #side note but one of the books I had to look inside to grab the isbn for turned out to be autographed by one of the editors #so that was neat‚ especially since he knew the person he was autohraphing for personally and was like 'I'd love to hear your feedback'#anyway. I meant to read more Real books this year but haven't started yet so. oops. gonna try to work on that starting this weekend #maybe I could try for one fiction and one non-fiction each week? aiming for 52 by the end of the year so it averages out to one per week lol
