today's #medicalwordoftheday: Uterine Tachysystole Uterine tachysystole is a term that means the muscles in the uterus are contracting too frequently and relaxation of the muscles may not be occurring or the fetus may not be getting optimal oxygen. Tachysystole can be seen when contractions number greater than 5 in a 10 minute window.
