âplease? you ust have to come buy and make sure that i always feed it properly and love it and you can be the beloved cat aunt!â mhir pouted, it wasnât something he usually was doing but a cat was worth very much everything!â
âyouâre an ADULT, if you want a cat, you should know how to look after it yourself not having me remind you to do the things you need to do for it.â brows arch when the other pouts, but it doesnât work on her. âlook, i donât mind helping with whatever you need, but only if you canât do something yourself. if you want this cat, you have to be RESPONSIBLE for it, otherwise i wonât help you buy it.â
[Â tophatz // haruâ ]
A one-shouldered shrug was all the other got at the first question . So long as none of his customers had ever bought these â which , why would they ? Haru wouldâve remained in blissful ignorance in regards to the existence of products like these . He never got chummy with those within his workplace , so there was really no space for his co-workers in stocking to inform him . Though surely , he could imagine they had a kick with those candies .
Yet another question  ? The conversation wasnât over yet ? A joke too ? Quite the friendly guy wasnât he . Well , at least he seemed to take the reaction well . Haru could somewhat respect a non-dramatic soul â despite his current buyings .
â Yeah , now I think youâre an enabler too  . â He half-wondered what sort of person would put another through the pain of having to buy something so âŠÂ easily mockable , to sugarcoat it . But , being himself, it was easily shrugged off and thrown out of the realms of his mind .
One would think disgust would show up on his face at the offer but âŠÂ no . His expression never switched . Even the way his eyes met the otherâs didnât . He couldnât bother to change them â and why should he ? But he supposed a level of humor should be met with one of sarcasm â  despite him lacking the tone for it .
â Iâll hand it to you ,  itâs not everyday a customer offers to poison me  . "  He glanced over the otherâs shoulder to see if there had been that big of a queue . Thankfully , there wasnât one at all . That guy whose name heâd forgotten had just started his shift and well â who wouldnât like to be served by a face that welcoming .  " Thatâs one note to end my shift on . â he mumbled , loud enough for the other to hear , but mostly to himself.
âIf someone asked me to pick up things, and I get something for everyone except that person, wonât that make me kind of an ASSHOLE?â Seonho said with a chuckle and shrug of his shoulders. Did he hate that he had to be these damn candies? Absolutely. He still couldnât really wrap his mind around the fact that these candies existed. âI donât think Iâll be wanting to buy these again though.â Heâd make sure to tell them that much when he gave the vampire that asked for the candy canes.
âI guess when you offer someone something that probably tastes bad, it can be taken that way. I donât think youâd wanna eat it though, I know I sure wouldnât want to. But just figured Iâd offer out of COURTESY in case you were interested in trying it.â Not that even his own curiosity would compel him to want to try it. Though heâd have to pick the vampireâs brain that did go out of their way to ask for these, this flavor superficially of what it tasted like or were they just curious if they even existed, or was this a joke just to tease him? Heâd certainly find out once he got back.
âWell, happy to offer an INTERESTING way to end your night. It certainly it for me too.â He chuckled again. He could tell the other didnât seem to want to talk, or just didnât talk much, he wasnât really sure which, or it could have been BOTH. So he resided to pay for the things. Rummaging through the bag and tearing open the plastic to the candy canes and pulling one out. âHere, you donât have to eat it. But, just think of it as a SOUVINER to commemorate the interesting night youâve had.â He smirked, pulling the bag handle onto his wrist. âHave a good night, thanks for these.â He waved the plastic bag.
[Â outcvstt // victoriaâ ]
A bigger bouquet next time, there was going to be a next time? Oh she was excited for that even though this time hasnât even happened yet. But to receive flowers did make her heart happy. A feeling she hadnât felt in awhile and it was very nice. Itâs one thing when your family makes you happy, but itâs another when someone who doesnât know anything about you really makes you happy just by doing little things. Hearing that he thought her work was impressive she smiled a bit at him with her cheeks still tinted a slight red from before. â The idea I got them from was animal crossing, one of Roseâs more relaxed and comfy games. â Victoria explained to the male, she really wanted to see if just planting flowers next to each other and just watering them actually did something.Â
â Y-Yeah, I try my best in my little garden. â Victoria said softly looking down at her shoes before back at him. She caught sight of Seonho reaching for her hand and she happily took it. Lacing their fingers together, she couldnât help but give his hand a tiny squeeze in excitement. They were really doing this! She was going on a date, hand holding and all! Was this Victoria getting out of her shell? Removing herself from her safe space to let a stranger. â O-Okay! You lead the way and yâknow Iâll follow. â Victoria states enjoying the little walk from point A to point B. Her favorite thing was really just the hand holding.  Â
âAnimal Crossing? Is that some kind of gardening game with animals?â Seonho was well-versed in video games. Sure some of the vampires around him were gamers, heâd pick up on their conversation from time to time. But he was never much of a video game player so he didnât really pay much attention to it. Heâd heard Rose mention some of the other games sheâs play like...Halo was it? He didnât really remember. He could remember the DETAILS, but sometimes the names escaped him. But he definitely didnât remember a game called Animal Crossing ever being mentioned in their conversations before. âAh, okay, so itâs an easy game to play then Iâm guessing? Sometime to play that you wonât have to stress too much about how you play, but can still spend HOURS upon hours playing it?â If a game was more relaxed and comfy, he imagined that was what it was like. Maybe heâd offer to play it with Victoria in the future to see what it was actually about. Since he wasnât a gamer, maybe something light and fun like this game could be something that would interest him.
âIâm looking forward to seeing the progress you make with your garden. Donât forget to send me pictures okay?â Even if he knew nothing about flowers or video games, heâd always make an effort to know and to learn more because it was IMPORTANT to the other person. Even if Seonho himself didnât really have hobbies of his own, he always liked picking up the things that the people around him like. He always made sure he took the time and really invested the effort into learning more about whatever it was. Seonho smiled over at Victoria when she took his hand, feeling the small squeeze, he gaze her hand a light squeeze in return. The walk back to the car was shorted than he hoped for, but at least they could continue talking in the car, and theyâd be able to hold hands afterwards too. âHopefully theyâll be parking close by, or else we might have to walk a bit, if youâre okay with that.â Seonho mentioned as he opened the passenger side door for her, waiting for her to get inside before going to the driverâs side and buckling himself in and starting the car.

H⣠is hands stretched forwards in reassurance , a thumbs up following the motion to indicate that it had been ok . No harm had actually been inflicted upon the mime , thankfully , so he saw no reason to get on the otherâs case . Eryl had instinctively managed to continually mime up a box for himself to shield him from the flames . They had been strong enough for him to feel the heat though ; to the point where heâd begun to sweat . But thank god for patience , he supposed .
His palm then flicked at the other , an eyebrow raised and a different thumbs-up swaying periodically from side to side . He wasnât sure if he knew sign language, so he instead resorted to basic gestures to check if he had been ok â after all , he could not have almost-burned him without reason !
Rarely had Dominic let his anger get the best of him. Heâd spent years making sure that he could keep his anger TEMPERED so that he wouldnât lose control of his powers. The fear that always struck him that if he did lose control like he did when he was younger that heâd end up hurting people around him. That was the last thing he wanted. Thankfully the other seemed prepared, shielding themselves from the mass of flames.Â
The GUILT began to sink in as his anger quelled. His first instinct was to apologize. He was just glad that the other seemed to okay. The gesture to showcase that he was in fact, okay. A heavy sigh of relief washed over him. âGood, Iâm really glad youâre okay. I---I donât know what happened. I guess I lost my temper. I didnât mean to. You SURE youâre okay?â He felt the need to ask again, eyes searching the other for any injuries.

GâŁÂ loved hands curled around a non-existent mass , spreading apart as far as they could to indicate it had been an object with some length to it . A motion around his own waist followed by what resembled a knot-tying action of sorts confirmed the nature of said mass â  a rope . An invisible rope, now supposedly tied around the mimeâs body . He pretended it to tighten it too hard , blasting an exaggerated look of comical pain before going to loosen it . A few children giggled at the dramatic sight â prompting Eryl to try and subdue a smile for the sake of the act , eyes darting to the side to finally take note of a fellow heâd very quickly managed to recognize .
The mime had always been good with faces ; despite seeing countless of those each day . He could tell if someone among the audience , or within the vicinity , had been around him before . And the one with the journal was no exception â a recurring presence at both this park and the fast-food place he worked at , how sweet was that ?
He put the thought of approaching him somewhere near the back of his mind for now , since the act had been nearing its end anyways .
Still maintaining his grip on the invisible rope, he moved both hands diagonally before his figure , jolting them faintly to the side and mimicking the motion with his own body as though being pulled . It was then that he brought a gleeful lady from the audience , gesturing at her to hold onto the mock-rope and pointing at the distance .
Eagerly, she did , looking as though sheâd been pulling him off his spot .
And that was when it ended . A bow let everyone else know it had been over , the children now skipping away joyfully as some of their parents left him a sum of money.
Earlier , heâd planned on getting his makeup off in the nearest restaurantâs bathroom he could find . But now that the familiar one had been there , he figured he could just wing it as he approached . And so he did , throwing a friendly smile and a wave at the other as he walked towards him .
There was something almost calming about watching the other from afar. It wasnât like it was the first time. Heâd been to this park before. Heâd seen the familiar face. Watching the different miming tactic the other displayed for the children and any others who was willing to watch him. It was easy to just sit and watch him. Pull him out of his thoughts and FOCUS on nothing else except before the act before him.Â
When heâd put the two together, that the mime at the park and the worker at the fast food place he frequented enough were the same person it took him by surprise at first. It was something he wouldnât have guessed if not meeting them in both environments. Jaemin had already STOPPED tapping his pen against his journal. Dark gaze fixed in front of him as he just watched. His objective to write washed away by his interest being TUGGED along with the invisible rope the mime was using that seemed to entertain the children well enough.Â
He was going to go back to his journal once theyâd finished up. He certainly hadnât expected the other to approach him, noticing how he walked towards him and waved with a grin. Eyes wide for a moment before he managed a small, sheepish grin as he waved back.
âHi, you were really great out there. I donât think I remember your name, sorry. But Iâm Jaemin.â He offered the other his journal to write a response if he wanted to. He couldnât be upset if the other wanted to mime in response, it was probably similar to CHARADES, but he wasnât very good at that. So opting for the journal felt like the better choice.
[Â escapedartgeek // zoraâ ]
Zora shrugged in response. Indeed it was terrible but did they really want to go into right now? Not particularly. âJust something that tends to come with the territory really.â People didnât know how to respond to things outside their understanding and this was just another layer all that surfacing in nasty ways. Unfortunate but not unexpected as far as Z was concerned.
âSure, sure.Point made, honestly.â And trying to drill it into them wasnât really going to make things better. So Zora was more interested in moving on at this point.
âMy.. schedule has some room. And besides. itâs either this or muttering to myself getting through the day. And Iâve already done plenty of that.â And likely will do more when they head home, but thatâs .. for another time really.
Cyndi could tell it was something the other didnât want to get into. Well, who would? It wasnât ever pleasant to talk about those kinds of things, especially if it was something that occurred often. It was also very clear that they wanted to move PAST her mistakes, so she took the opportunity given to do just that. A smile spread across her lips as she gave a shrug of her shoulders.Â
âWell, if youâve got the time. And you wouldnât mind keeping a ghost company. Iâd love to chat with you more. Though...wouldnât it look like you ARE talking to yourself since most people canât see me?â Though, was it much different than if the other was muttering to themselves like they usually did through the day.
[Â dualday // taesunâ ]
who carried a book through the rain if it wasnât necessary? everyone could afford umbrellas those days! taesun sighed as he walked over and held his umbrella over the man. âhere, i got nothing but my smartphone on me so i letâs try not to have you catch a cold. they promise for them to be water proven, right? better see if those phones really are. now⊠i cannot replace first print but i have a signed version if you are really that keen on this title.â he had a first edition too which was more worth in overall value to him than a signed copy. âi need to shrink some of the shelves in the library anyways so you do me a favor.â
jaemin was kicking himself for not bringing an umbrella. it didnât seem like it was going to rain earlier. but that was also his fault for not checking the forecast for today. he really hadnât expected it to rain, and now it ruined the book and the perfectly good day that he was having upon getting his hands on this copy. now completely ruined and drenched by the rain. eyes looked up when the other man put their umbrella over him. he blinked in awe and confusion when heâd offered a SIGNED copy of the book he had that was now ruined. why are you being so nice to me? you donât even know me. those were the thoughts in his head, but he didnât voice them. âum...thank you. but --- are you sure? you donât even know me and youâre offering me a signed copy of a book.â he wasnât used to people being so nice to him, let alone a STRANGER.

âi went on this date with her for valentineâs day, it was sweet but i was so damn confident she agreed with me that we are cute but more as friends than lovers. now she keeps sending me all of those texts like we are dating and i donât know how to tell her that i donât like her that way.â
âwell, some people see things differently. perhaps itâd be better to just be UPFRONT with her? otherwise, she might not get the message. since she doesnât seem to understand your intentions as of right now anyways.â

âa cat would need a proper family too! a loving cat dad and a second, equally invested cat parent! otherwise they turn evil, you know?â now he was joking or well, maybe? who knew, mhir could be a little dramatic when it came to cats.Â
âjust because iâm going to help you buy a cat doesnât mean iâm the other parent.â with her shifts at the hospital, she didnât think sheâd have time to help take care of a pet. âcanât say i have enough experience with cats to give much of an opinion.â
[Â stvtistics // roseâ ]
â And trying your best is all that matters, you want to try at least three times before you ask for help or give up. My mother told me that before she passed. â It was better to say passed away instead of MURDERED, Christopher Lockhart was a monster and had no mercy, why he turned Rose she didnât understand. Maybe in his head he thought that she could be his vampire queen and they could wipe all of humanity, but that wasnât what Rose wanted at all, before being a vampire, she loved life. She could remember playing in fields with her brother and adopted sister, swimming in the river that was close by the cottage they lived in. Her mother singing them to sleep, despite how old she was. It was simple and happier times.
Rose chuckled light as Cyndi reacted to her new nickname, yes it indeed was going to stick. Besides, she rather give her a nickname and only use her real name for serious situations to get her attention. Upon seeing her reaction to the fact that vampires could indeed die, Rose could shrug.Â
Once the two left Cyndiâs apartment, they walked outside and Rose to an inhale, she could smell the scents of different of the various people, the feeling was like the aftermath of being sick and your nose had cleared and for a moment you can smell everything expect, as a vampire the feeling was lasting. Parting her lips to speak, she began to teach her first lesson as the two began to walk towards the direction of the park. â Everything can be overwhelming at first, but try to focus, even if you have to stop to close your eyes, youâll smell everything but whatever smells the strongest, focus on that and soon the other scents will become dull. â Â
âThatâs really good advice. Your mother sounds like she was a WISE WOMAN.â Did her own mother ever give her such advice when she was alive too? Cyndi couldnât remember even if she did. Since losing her mother, the memories they once shared together began to fade slowly. Of course, they were brought back from time to time with the stories the grannies at the complex liked to share with her on odd days. When she looked at the photos that were around her apartment. There were still memories, but the one she had herself were beginning to fade with time. She wondered if all she would have LEFT of her mother were stories from other people and pictures from years past. She couldnât help but think that her mother would have really liked Rose, perhaps even have become friends themselves if given the chance. It was nearly impossible to not befriend and woman like her mother. She just always seemed to radiate like the sun and people were always drawn to her.
Cyndi tried not to let the new nickname bother her too much. If it was something that would stick, sheâd get used to it. It was just...VERY NEW, much like all of this. Once they stepped out of her apartment, it all felt so different. Things sounded louder, everything felt --- intensified as soon as they came outside. Perhaps that was because there was just so much more to stimulate her newly heightened senses outside rather than indoors. FOCUS. She listened to Rose, giving a nod of her head. Eyes closed briefly and she inhaled and exhaled. How was it possible she could smell what felt like twenty different things at once and it all had a very specific scent an she could pick out every single one almost instantaneously? Focus on the one that stuck out....pick out the one that stood out to her the most. What was it? It was hard to just pick and choose when there was so many all at once. Her nose scrunched again as she tried to pinpoint just one, sift through everything and pick that one.
âOh, I think I got it....pizza?â Her brow arched at the realization. Among the different scents of people, pets, gasoline from cars, she happened to pinpoint pizza of all things. Which, perhaps she was HUNGRY? Did it even matter if she ate food like a normal person? Would that satiate the hunger she had? It was interesting how she could smell the pizza as if it was right in front of her. From the smell of the pizza crust and toppings to the grease. Was this how it could be if she focused her senses. It was like something was right under her nose even if it was miles away?
