Here are some sloppy scribbles where I forget the basics of lighting and anatomy. Sorry, I’m running on no sleep.

I’m a terrible person, so I like to think that Hasook’s the type of guy that cries when he gets really, really angry. Ever had that happen? It’s so, horribly embarrassing and just makes you angrier.  Needless to say, the Hasook in my head got beat up a lot as a kid, until he learned to hit back.

Haha. Ultimate Survivor Hasook. Will he do it? Will he make it or will he be left destitute and suffering a fate worse than death? Here’s your trivia for the day: Apparently Hasook is Korean for a type of boarding house/bed-and-breakfast for college kids and singles. The poor, poor boy. His fate was sealed the moment his parents named him.

Points to people who get the reference. Kaiji is probably the most bizarrely moe character I’ve ever come across in a hideous nightmare of a schadenfreude-filled story. The moment I saw Hasook, the vibes were so strong, I had to do it. (Maybe it was the hair and the sullen attitude?) I sorta half-assed it so the colors aren’t nearly as pumped up as the original promo image. Also I started without thinking or planning, only to realize that the Fire Ferrets wear red, so I had to swap the color scheme around on the fly. Wow, I haven’t done fanart in so many years.

Anyway. NOW WE KNOW WHY HE WAS A NO-SHOW, EY? Clearly, he was fighting for his life on the Espoir and losing his shirt while at it.

Should I be admitting to this travesty? Lol. More half-assery when I should be in bed. Quick sketch answering a meme prompt where Hasook didn’t ditch and was instead captured by Equalist!Asami. 

They’re bound in a traditional/historical method (hojojutsu) that was used on criminals in Japan and… a similar thing in Korea, I believe. There’s a variety that doesn’t have knots for nobles, which… clearly wouldn’t be used here. :P
