All my life I have not gotten the concept of Metre in poetry- it has simply eluded my understanding somehow- but then while rereading The Lady of Shallott it finally fucking clicked. I GET IT NOW! I just had to ask myself "hm I'm saying this poem in a very specific rhythmic way, how do I know which way to say it? Why would a different word feel wrong here?" AND NOW I GET IT. I love english poetry.

Obsession (movie) is so good... Finally somebody else understands the inherent horror and dissolution of identity inherent to heterosexual relationships...
