That's a really large beetle.

This is a greater stag beetle, know as European stag beetle, or as I call it "pinch-pinch owchie". Listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

Found Iphiclides podalirius on a ground. It's wings are injured :(

In the photograph you can see the copulation process of red-listed butterfly species named Hamearis lucina. A rather rare photo that brings joy to the entomologist, because he sees that a rare species is reproducing.

Hamearis lucina, the Duke of Burgundy, the only member of the genus Hamearis, is a European butterfly in the family Riodinidae. For many years, it was known as the "Duke of Burgundy fritillary", because the adult's chequered pattern is strongly reminiscent of "true" fritillaries of the family Nymphalidae.

Made another keychain out of epoxy.
