My first entry for ADA Week 2018 and of course it isĀ Kunikidazai. Thought it would be something fluffy and then it took a life of its own.

So Iāve decided to create this sideblog for Bungou Stray Dogs - High School AU because I need a space without suffering for our favorite characters. The blog will not be biased towards any character or ship although the content I create is likely to be mostly Oda-related.Ā

So I made a Thing...
This scene just really gets me. Those lilā details ahhh I feel like itās in tiny moments like this where we can notice a very small hint of Dazaiās emotions and what he feels for people Despite Dazai affirming that his whole suicidal monologue was all a calculated act, Odasaku knew very well that Dazai meant those words. As Dazai continues to explain his tactic to him, Oda blatantly interrupts him. He tells him to stop, to stop covering the feelings that Oda already knew darn well about.Ā Moments later, Oda, disappointed, walks away. Dazai lowers his gaze in what appears to be shame. He then calls out for him with this same gaze. He doesnāt want him to leave.Ā Oda, a person who validated Dazai to bits, turned his back on him, & despite Dazai being obsessively suicidal, having disappointed Oda just led him to this expression. We all know that Dazai makes these suicidal remarks all the time, but we never get to see this saddened gesture made with anyone else.Ā

So, Iām still watching Violet Evergarden, there are some bits Iām not a huge fan of, but the story itself is interesting and I like the imagery so far. Currently Iām on episode seven, and Iāll probably finish out this one and start washing things for dinner.

11. Any unpopular opinions?
*wrack my brain to find actual opinions and not purely objective views*
Content warning: death, euthanasia, suicide

I donāt know how much hate Iām gonna get for saying this, but Iām an advocate for euthanasia. If a personās too old, or has terminal/chronic illnesses that make them suffer to the point of wishing for a release, they should have the right to a painless, peaceful death if they want.
In the case of suicides, it is firmly my belief that the dead should not be ridiculed for their choice. No one would want to die (and willingly hurt themselves) if they havenāt been in so much pain that they just cannot take it anymore. Itās usually a sign of bigger problems that people around them, society, or the dead themselves havenāt addressed enough. Bullying/abuse, mental/physical health issues, trauma, you name it.
I also think itās important to talk to children about death in a positive, healthy way. Teach them what it is, what it means, how to cope with it and seek support when death happens, etc. Death is a part of life. It shouldnāt be treated as a taboo in conversations.

20. In a large lecture hall, I generally sit in the front row. In a small classroom, I either sit close to or opposite of the professor.
21. Iād rather overdress than underdress. It would at least save me some embarrassment if I happen to be at a fancy party or something like that.
22. I have hand-me-down clothes from different family members, as well as my maternal grandmotherās engagement ring (not that I can wear it, though).
23. Powering through all-nighters without immediately crashing. This one is new.
24. I want to just be able to teleport home with all of my stuff packed and taken care of. God, just thinking about it makes me tired.
25. Told my professor I had an emergency just to skip a group work day because I was too depressed to get out of bed (context: I didnāt have accommodations for mental health issues).
