Megatron was originally called Pessimus prime, but Frank Welker,  the original voice actor, blanked out when reading his lines for the first 4 episodes and came up with the name "megatron" on the spot.

Famous actress Emma stone stated in an interview she was a big fan of transformers even saying "Wheeljack was always my favourite"

Writers on the original transformers show stated that constructicon Hook was originally supposed to be infertile. This detail was ment to be revealed in an episode titled "Hooked!".  however the episode was cancelled due to producers stating it was quote:" a weird thing to add".

Ratchet's name originates from an obscure 60's tv show called "The houndogs" In which one of the characters, a white poodle proficient in medicine, was named "matchet"
