I've known for a while that google often hides pirate links which duckduckgo does not. so for example if some kind of lawless brigand wanted to illegally download a film, if they searched "[Film Title] Online Free", duckduckgo would produce relevant results that google would deliberately exclude. What I didn't realize is that google apparently also does this for shit in the public domain? I've been trying to download classical sheet music pdfs and you if you search for "[classical piece from 200 years ago] sheet music" on google you'll only get versions that are for sale or require some kind of subscription to access. But if you search for it on duckduckgo you will just find it.
