[Devlin rolled his eyes.] I’m serious. No strings. I can bring you food or clothes or whatever ya need. Well within reason I ain’t banking like some of these fuckers. 

[Devlin chuckled at the question and shook his head.] Why not a good pair of jeans it’ll show off your ass. 

William chuckled. “Yeah, he is. He does this a lot, honestly. Just… never long enough to get us back in the cells,” he admitted. “I’m sure he’ll – he’ll come back, of course.”

Devlin gave a snort. He wasn’t sure if it was better to be claimed and safe only to worry every time the bastard left or just to be left in the cells. “Next time just kick him in the balls. Make it clear that shit ain’t cool.”

That’s very true.  How’s Ashley?  I’m sorry I haven’t seen him in a while work has been crazy.

He’s doing good. Got a real zoo up in my house. A cat, a dog, and now he’s got fish. 

His name is Cody an’ he’s the nicest! He let Ashley babysit his teddy!

[Devlin nodded.] His Teddy bear? [Hearing this Devlin relaxed just a bit maybe the poor bastard was a little who else carried around a  teddy bear.] And what did ya do together?

Angel smiled happy to have Devlin’s acceptance so easily. It was getting harder and harder to not just be happy around the other. “My favorite movie is phantom of the opera. We could watch a different one though.”

Devlin smiled at Angel’s choice almost surprised. He expected something a bit different from him, but he nodded. “Not bad I can watch that.”

Angel didn’t really care to much about Devlin’s appearance just happy to see him here letting a smile light up his face. “Yeah I did. You’re not leaving me alone that quickly.”

Devlin smiled at the demand and chuckled. He thought it was progress that Angel was getting just a bit bossy. Devlin took his drink and looked around snorting. “All this to celebrate Christmas. Supposed to be about family and shit and these guys just busy trying to get some.”

Devy! Ashley made a new friend and Ashley really likes his new friend.

[Devlin had to keep the look of concern off his face.] Oh and who’s this friend?

[Julien paused, glancing over his shoulder at Devlin.]  Uh.  One, thank you, sir?  [He started, biting his lip to keep back a grin.]

[Devlin shook his head.] Too late we’re starting over and that earned ya something special.

“A musical. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to watch one or had company too.”

Devlin chuckled. “Well ain’t ya just being judgmental. Wizard of Oz happens to be my favorite Movie ya know. And some others ain’t bad. Long as they ain’t all corny.”

Angel watched him walk off and then decided to get them both some drinks sitting down at the bar.

It didn’t take Devlin to run home and change. He frowned a bit since he wasn’t going to go buy a suit just for a dance since he didn’t plan on staying too long. So he wore a pair of slacks and a sports coat. Not as fancy as some of the fuckers, but Devlin didn’t care he just hoped it didn’t upset Angel. Finding Angel once he got to the party was a bit of a challenge, but he managed and smiled. “You better got that drink or I’m making a run for it.”

“My master decided going to AWOL.”

Devlin looked a bit sympathetic. There were some men where if they left it would only be a good thing for the men they owned, but some really were better off owned by a man who took good care of them even if it was still being owned. “He’s an asshole. Sorry to hear that.”

(Travis nodded) I can only hope…(he swallowed) I’m sorry how are you?  I was so focused on my issues..

[Devlin snorted.] Ain’t gonna complain could always be worse ya know.

Ashley wanna dress like Tiana! [to him, there was no dressing like a boy or a girl, he simply wanted to dress as his favorite Disney character.] …Is it bad? [he asks softly.]

[Devlin had to think hard for a moment before he could answer. He wanted to help Ashley, but in doing that he didn’t really have a right to shape the boy to be the kind of man he thought he should be. If he was going to try to help Ashley be more than what his ‘parents’ had made him he had to let the boy develop who he wanted to be even if that meant dresses.] Nah ain’t bad. Just gonna have to order it early to get it in your size. And ya know that’ll mean a wig and wigs can be itchy and hot.

Christmas, it's Christmas!

Oh, okay. [he says with a little huff, but understands that they can’t get it because of the holiday.] Tomorrow then!

[Devlin smiled at the huff, but is pleasantly surprised when he doesn’t get upset.] How about I make some old fashioned grilled cheeses now? We ain’t had breakfast yet.

Ashley tried…but Ashley hurts. [he crinkles his nose.] Sorry, Devy. Ashley won’t do it again.]

[Devlin nodded feeling bad for Ashley.] Well maybe soon I’ll teach you how to use a knife if your real careful and promise to only do it with me or Angel around. 

Help!

[he blushes and nods his head.] Ashley forgets them on the table inside…can Devy open it?

[Devlin chuckled and nodded as he opened the door. He also made a mental note to put some toys on the key chain so Ashley would be less likely to lose it.] Alright go put on your swim gear I’ll take Chewie to the bathroom.
