Octavio didnt realize how long he had been running for. It felt like seconds. It felt like hours. Time didnât matter. All he could think about was the ringing in his ears and the pain shooting through his body. He fucked up. He fucked up big time. Another failing grade. God, why was he such an idiot? Such a useless, stupid, ugly waste of space. His fatherâs words stuck in his mind. He wished the words had been the worst of it, but it wasnât. Not even close. He could deal with the words. Hell, he could even deal with the beatings. They had become a constant in his life. But when his father would try to do...other things...Octavio felt like he could vomit right then and there. His feet kept moving and they only stopped once he reached a house. âShit,â he thought to himself. What was the point of going to Skyâs house? All it would do is cause problems. He was about to leave when the world suddenly got dizzy and he fell to the ground.

Sky held the boy close and rubbed his back. âHey itâs okay. Itâs going to be okay.â The blond shook his head. âDonât apologize. I want to help okay? Iâm in this for however long it takes. Octavio youâre everything to me. It was killing me to see you this way.â He hugged the boy a little tighter and swallowed hard. âThank you for staying.â
âYou donât thinkâŚâ Octavio chokes on a soft sob for a brief moment before collecting himself enough to continue talking. âYou donât think IâmâŚdisgusting? For lettingâŚfor letting my dad do stuff to me?â With that question out in the open, he lets out a shuddering sigh.
