i know rationally,

that someday my still unfamiliar dorm hall will feel nostalgic,

that eventually my current favorite jacket will wilt in my closet until i try it on years later and laugh,

that the scent of my now daily shampoo will eventually turn into a subtle reminder of my past every time i enter the cosmetics isle,

i know that i don't need to grasp at these memories, i have my whole life to turn into memories, but still,

some days i cant help myself.

i find it really funny that lovers are considered fools until they find someone that loves them back. then we are envied.

maybe it's hard to appreciate everything all the time

maybe it's hard to see the bright side of things

every thursday i try to fix everything. it's laundry day, isn't that what i'm meant to do?

what about the rest of the week? well, thursday's my day off. but... maybe i'm putting too much pressure on thursday. maybe im stressing thursday out.

on angry days we classify red as wrath. a sharp cutting color of blood and fire.

those same evenings we define red as lust and desire. nothing can stop this sensuality and the exciting shame this sin fills us with.

then, once we've fought and fucked and stopped for a little bit, the quiet nights remind us that red is love. it's desire and it's such a human color.

i can see and breath and smell and touch and think and experience things.

i have consciousness and perception and the desire to expand my perception as far as i can. what else could the meaning of life be?

how could the meaning of life be anything but simply experiencing and know all we can? it's why we do everything isnt it?

breath in these moments, appreciate them, live them, then smile knowing they'll be there every day of your life.

there is something so alluring in the silence of an early morning. that slow, magical time before the first kettle is brewed and the fog of sleep reveals the rising sun.

i cant imagine a life without you now that we're together and yet i already miss you.

just know that i'm grateful for the new life you've brought me. for teaching me how to love. i'll be grateful for that no matter what.

today was tiring and numb but still, i saw people doing good and nice and kind things and i remembered that things aren't always happy or always sad they just are. that's all.

but even if nothing has positive or negative connotation, we will always have other people and we're here in everything and nothing together.

lets share everything or at least let me give you everything i have.

i love you and i miss you and i think about you at least every millisecond, probably more.

i cant wait to grow old with you.

i think perhaps life is about trying to experience every little thing and then grasping at each memory whenever you try to share it with someone.
