One Card Draw
The Children of Litha Tarot *~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Queen of Cups, The Queen of the Tides, The Queen of Love- her long red hair pours from her crown and mixes with the turbulent sea just as her emotions pour from her heart and mix with her intent. She is intuitive. She is emotional. She is strong. And she is free.
The Children of Litha Tarot: Judgement *~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Judgment is about absolution, higher callings, inner awakenings, decision making, and the consequences of those decisions. It signifies a time of understanding- perhaps you have recently experienced an epiphany or have recognized your true calling. Or perhaps you have finally woken spiritually, and are now able to transcend your own material perspective and reach an elevated place of understanding. In a more foreboding sense, this could mean you stand on the edge of a precipice and all the decisions you’ve made have lead you to this moment… now you stand before the outcome - the end- ready to fall or fly at a moments notice. Whether internal or external, this card speaks of dramatic changes. It’s shadow self may indicate an unwillingness to comprehend things as they are or move on to something better. It may indicate a lack of self awareness, or that you are playing the victim to your fate instead of rising to meet it.

The Children of Litha Tarot: The Sun *~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Sun is exactly as it seems: Bright, warm, cheerful, fun, and without a care in the world! The Sun shows up in a reading when you’ve worked hard and you’ve earned a reprieve from hardship. It can indicate the coming of a much needed vacation, or that your efforts are finally bearing fruit - in some cases quite literally- as it may even indicate a successful pregnancy or otherwise fruitful relationship. The Sun card in any context is a fantastic omen, and even when in it’s reversed position it still carries a very positive meaning. Reversed, The Sun simply means the joyous feeling is perhaps slightly less prominent-maybe tampered by a recent hardship. Still, one can look at this as a partly cloudy day for the psyche: the sun may not be shining full force but it is still very pleasant in its own right!
The Children of Litha Tarot: Birth/Constellation cards
The High Priestess and Judgement are my constellation cards (2-3 cards that represent you and your personality or life’s purpose that can help to guide you on your way.) Do you know yours? Tell me how you interpret them!
The Children of Litha Tarot: The Moon *~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The moon is associated with the astrological sign of Pisces, and like the sign it is an intuitive card of ever changing moods. The moon follows the star, and although it can have a calming or even serene quality, it is also also associated with anxiety and illusion. This is because while it is a light in the darkness, it is also dim – prone to casting ambiguous and often terrifying shadows. Upright, it may be a call for serenity or intuitive understanding, a sign to pay attention to your dreams, and connect with your subconscious. Reversed, the shadows it casts are long and daunting- distorting the lines between illusion and reality, causing one to be panicay and paranoid
The Children of Litha Tarot: A spread for my air signs this weekend
Sometimes your heart is the thing you follow; that which leads you ever onward - keeping you hopeful, keeping you whole. And sometimes it is the thing holding you back. Sometimes it what stands between you and your liberation. Summon the mental clarity to know which role yours is playing- and the emotional fortitude to sever yourself from it if you must.

The Children of Litha Tarot: The Star *~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Often referred to as a “wish” card or a sign of “wishes being fulfilled”, The Star is a very positive omen, and indicates a guiding light in the darkness, ascension and attainment. It can also indicate that genuine, selfless love that touches and heals the wounded heart. The beauty of this kind of love if that it helps both the giver and receiver recover from psychic wounds, and is always uplifting. Even in it’s shadow the Star is still a largely positive card. It means there is still hope and happiness but to a lesser degree; that the light is just a bit dimmer, or maybe just calmer- more subdued. It can also be an indication that there is a generous wealth of love and support before you, but you are refusing to accept it out of pride. The star reminds us that there is grace and honor in both giving and receiving help.
The Children of Litha Tarot: The Tower *~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The tower is perhaps the most foreboding card in the deck: more so than even Death. The tower is about upheaval, destruction, chaos, and external circumstances beyond your control. This card represents the moments in life when something suddenly and unexpectedly alters your reality- sometimes for the better, and usually permanently. This is about the crumbling of the figurative pillars upon which you have constructed your center, your truth, your reality- your “tower”. And about what happens when it all comes crumbling down. Reversed, this card indicates that you are in denial, putting off the inevitable even though it may ultimately be for the best. It could also be a warning that destruction is about to come – although to a lesser degree or that you have just narrowly avoided it…or have only managed to delay it.
The Children of Litha Tarot *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ It’s time to look within; though quiet reflection, observation, and Introspection, we can then take what we have gained from our inner knowing and manifest it into externalized expressions of victory.
The Children of Litha: One Card Draw
My first draw was a one card spread to set the theme or energies available to me for the month of April! Because I drew the upright Ace of Pentacles, I am feeling very good about it so far! The Ace of Pentacles can signify an exciting and fruitful start to a new business or financial venture! As I’m actively trying to gear up to the launch my kickstarter for The Children of Litha Tarot deck, I find this to be a very auspicious omen!

The Children of Litha Tarot: The Devil *~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Devil card is about sin, following the path of least resistance, negative life cycles, and addiction or self-bondage. It is about putting yourself in patterns of self destruction because you are unable to let go of bad habits, or because you continually trade instant gratification for long term wellness. If you look closely, you’ll see the figures in this card are not actually bound to anything, and the chains wrapped around them are quite loose. The Dragon is not attacking them, nor is he guarding their escape- he doesn’t need to. The way the story is going they will destroy themselves- he need not intervene. The two captives could leave if they would only abandon their vices and take the time to untangle the chains around their bodies, and to a greater extent; their minds. The problem is not that they CAN not. It is that they WILL not. It may also represent an intense loyalty to someone or something for better or worse. The Devil’s shadow is quite conversely about liberation - especially sexual liberation. Perhaps the chains are those of the unnecessary, harsh, and suffocative societal restrictions we place upon ourselves and others and now is the time to let them go or indulge. Perhaps it is an indication to say “to hell with the bondage others impose upon me; I will find my own way, and seek my own truth.”
