Jokes about sexting applications aside, the act of sexting itself can be a bit of fun. It’s not my favourite thing in the world to do with just anyone, because I tend to prefer my sexual interactions to be more on the physical side. I don’t derive a lot of pleasure from thinking about the logistics of what my left hand is doing to my clit while my right hand is wrapped around a cock, or how good it must feel to have my nipples pinched while you’re pulling on my hair while we’re on the floor and you’re pounding me from god-knows-where. Sometimes it’s just too much.

That being said, if I’m going to engage in this sort of dialogue with someone, I like for them to be a bit more familiar with who I am as a person. Which is unsurprising, I think, if you’ve ever perused the wordier parts of my blog. I don’t mean to say that intimacy is a determining factor of this sort of exchange–only that it’s an important part of it for me. Which is natural, I think? I mean, while I appreciate all the kind sentiments I receive about my body, it’s also cool to, y’know, be told I am also kind of cool, maybe. It’s nice to feel like a human being. And it’s nice to be recognised by another human being as someone who is worth spending time with. That’s valuable to me.

People are so interesting. It boggles my mind why some wouldn’t take the time to explore that in these situations.
