Land of the luminous fragments, or just Lf for short, is a fantasy universe filled with magic that comes primarily in the form of power crystals, small shards of condensed magic energy that form deep within the biomes of this world. These crystals can not only be converted into energy, but when the right conditions are met, continuous exposure to their powers can transform certain species into what's known as an “Ascended one”.
The habitats of the land of luminous fragments are divided in five kingdoms; The Forest, Mountain, Desert, Ocean and Shore. Most with their own magic type and Ascended one.

Yo👀👀👀 who is your favorite gym leader from all the generations?
Putting my brain gears to work for this one so that goes under the cut hehehehe
Gen 1: Either Erika or Sabrina, frankly whoever is the favorite shifts between the two every so often which is why i like femmegym a bunch like oughhh the girlies!!!!
It's kinda weird trying to explain why Erika out of all characters ranks so hight to me because most of what she does is literally just sleep a bunch but ehh??? I think she's very cute and i like that the anime and later appearances in remakes n stuff gave her a bit more to do with flower arangment and making perfume. I guess i've always had a soft spot for underdeveloped characters in general so i get to spin her around in my head and come up w a couple things too so that's fun.
Sabrina has been a favorite of mine ever since i watched her anime episode as a kid and i am always enamored by the fact that it seems like every continuity strives to make her a strange scary woman and then give her the most random things to do like become an actress or have an entire toy city playset at the back of the gym or something. I hope she never changes.
Gen 2: Gotta be honest, i don't really care for the Johto gym circuit. At most i find Claire funny out of how pathethic and whiny she is (grown ass woman pulling that shit) but that FAR from what i'd consider a favorite.
Karen and Will are from gen 2 tho!! I like them a lot but neither are gym leaders so this isn't the post for me to ramble about them lmao.
Gen 3: Flannery is definitely my favorite. I had a crush on her as a kid but as i grew older the story about trying to find your footing in what you're up to do in life resonates with me quite a bit, so maybe tiny me was onto something. She's kinda awkward and still trying to settle in being a gym leader after her grandfather but ik she can do it!!! I also like Roxanne and Brawly quite a bit but that's mainly cuz i really like their redesigns on the remakes. (Speaking of the ORAS redesigns, i also prefer Flannery's one over the og one from the gen 3 games, but i do love how her og deign sceams "cool girl from the 2000s")
Gen 4 and 5: I feel like these gens had something going on of putting a little effort into making the gym leaders feel more like proper caracters and not just bosses you see once and that's it and i really dig them for that!! As a result i really can't say i have a favorite in these gens, ESPECIALLY gen 5, because outside from a couple outliers (Byron, Volkner, Marlon,,) i generally like all the gym leaders quite a bit tbh :]
Gen 6: Starting from Gen 6 i haven't played any of the games myself (Nintendo consoles + games are hella expensive in Brazil and i had an Xbox as a child already) and as someone who was introduced to pokemon as whole because of the Black and white anime, little me kinda hated gen 6 when it was coming out because it was replacing the gen i was growing up with and the fact that the general fanbase that hated BW back in the started glazing X and Y didn't help at that.
So to this day most of what i know of Gen 6 comes from a close friend that had that as the gen he grew up with as a kid, so i don't even know much about the gym leaders to consider any a favorite, at most i think Valerie is neat because she looks like a creature.
Gen 7: technically speaking i don't even need to add Alola in this list cuz they don't actually have gym leaders! Which is convenient as fuck for me because I generally like all the trial captains and Island kahunas a bunch tbh. But if i HAD to pick a favorite I'd say it's Acerola because she's so???? Itty bitty!! The lil baby!!! She's so so cute i wanna hold her gentle like a burger :]]]]
Gen 9: Generally like the rival characters + bosses of team star more than i do the gym leader circuit but i think Iono is really silly and i thought her influencer thing was funny.
Also i always found it kinda fucked she's canonically an orphaned child that just likes hanging around abandoned buildings, i remember genuinely thinking she was homeless when i was younger. I guess what I'm trying to get at here is that if Nanu is gonna pass on the adoption papers he should hand them over to me.
Gen 8: I remember enjoying Galar more whn it came out but i think the years and all the dogging on this game (for valid reasons i agree on tbh) dampered how much i even remember for it beyond the flaws. I really like what they were doing w the gym leaders and sports on that game tho, that was neat i think and it ende up shaping how they wrote lore on how the pokemon league works in following regions so that's nice.

Watching those "Can i beat pokemon with only (insert weak and unusual pokemon)!?" Always makes me think back to Karen, tbh i think she'd take losing to someone like that less like a humiliation and moreso just find the whole situation really funny/amusing.

Ngl it is weird that Karen out of all people was never in the pokemon anime given her whole mindset of training pokemon because you like them and not because they're "strong pokemon" and every so often the anime would have an episode where someone is mistreating/abandoned a pokemon because they saw them as weak only to be proven wrong by Ash or someone else later on. She feels like the type of character that would fit right in, I don't get why she's never shown up.
Kanto is kinda of a funny region writing-wise because you'd think with it being the very first pokemon gen Gamefreak would want it to hold some form of status by the standard of the current writing of Pokemon regions/lore, but since they bank so hard on nostalgia when it comes to Kanto this never really happens because if they change/update the region then they lose part of that nostalgic factor.
So despite having a handful of remakes/reappearances in the franchise over the years, Kanto is always stuck in how it used to be in the 90s, so when you compare stuff like how their league worked to the current world building we have on how pokemon leagues function, with proper regulations, chairmens and sponsorships, The Kanto gym circuit is an absolute mess.
Sabrina is a weirdo in every continuity; Team rocket member in the manga, turning people into dolls in the anime, beating the shit out of the Fighting dojo to the point they stopped being a gym just because she felt like in the games. Now go to the town right next to her's and Erika is either sleeping 13 hours a day or kicking people out of her because they didn't like something she made.
Surge, Koga and Blaine all had ties to either Team rocket or the Mewtwo experiments in the manga. Gameverse Surge and Koga are just weird, but Blaine still strikes as kinda of an odd one, especially w the Cinnabar mansion being right next to his gym.
All this without even mentioning how Giovanni was the full on leader of Team rocket. Seriously, what the fuck was going on at the Kanto league-
I really like her design, in general i think every redesign in the gen 3 remakes is a massive glow up from how they looked in the original game. Which is a lot coming from me because i grew up playing Ruby and Emerald, gen 3 is my absolute favorite but i would always pick the redesigns over the og ones because they're just so fucking good.
Honestly the one reason i liked pokemon remakes a lot was to see the redesigns because it's so cool to see how the characters and places you've seen before get upgraded and just look a look cooler. Which is why i fucking hate the Gen 4 remakes a because they gave us NOTHING.
It's a one to one remake of Diamond and Pearl with, in my opinion, worse looking 3D graphics comparatively to the 2D sprites of the original games, and since the story is the exact same + there's no redesigns to revamp the region and make it feel new to some extent, why the hell play even that as opposed to just playing Platinum?

Hi hi i saw your Sabrina art and now i wonder, what's your thoughts on the other Kanto gym leader?
Gen one is, admittedly, the generation I tend to care the least for, so I don't have super extensive thoughts on them- But I do really like Erika from the lineup as well!
Pretty design and I really like it combined with her very goofy looking grass types. Ideal Pokémon/trainer combo to me
The other character I like is Koga, I like the little arc with him becoming elite four and his daughter taking over his gym :] also they're ninjas. Whats not to like
(And she's not a gym leader she's an Elite Four member but its my post and I do what I want!! So shoutout to Agatha I think evil smirking grandma is SO fun her design fucking slaps (her base one is good but I do really love her lets go fit) and her battle hungry personality is super fun. Where are my two other Agatha fans at)
