This is gonna sound very parasocial, but truly the only way I could see Kate going back to the Valkyries is if in a few years Kate and V are married and want to start a family. Feel like it would be very hard to have kids when you and your partner are living in different places half the year. Also by that point I think the sting of being waived would’ve worn off and she’d be more open to it

I think if it ever got to that point they’d probably have a conversation about trying to end up on the same team for sure.

GSV loves V, so I have a hard time seeing her leave unless somebody comes in with a way better opportunity. She feels pretty locked in with the Bay rn. So that might change Kate’s mind if they ever did offer her a contract

I missed the game so I didn’t actually see the injury 😭 Did it look bad when it happened?

I mean it didn’t look bad like tore something bad. Also if it was something like that there is no way she could have kept playing. She kind of fell with her knee flexed and it hit the floor. To me didn’t look like she twisted it or anything. Probably shouldn’t have kept playing but I would be shocked if it was anything that kept her out long. She was right back on the bench after halftime when they ruled her out. If it was serious they wouldn’t have had her back out there.

I haven’t really seen anything that makes it sound like a serious injury either, so she should be good.

Cam being out for a while is gonna suck though. I swear she just cannot catch a break bro 🥲

Do you think the Valkyries could resign Kate next season? She’ll be a free agent. Maybe she will be able to go back to GS. She’s clearly not over being cut by them and that’s where she really wants to be

absolutely not. She unfollowed them on socials even though she follows the Aces still and she apparently didn’t see nakase when she was back in the bay. Ain’t no way she’d go back even if they offered and if she gets offered a full contract at LA she’ll be a reserved free agent next year meaning she will have to sign with them if they offer her a contract

Yeah I honestly think she’s a little hurt by how the team handled everything 😭 using her for promo all offseason and then waiving her at the last second is kinda nasty work. I get that it’s a business, but I’m glad she was honest about how hard it is not to take that stuff personally because anybody would.

& thanks for clarifying the free agency stuff too because I was lowkey confused on how it worked with the DP contract. I could see the Sparks putting her on the roster this year and then signing her next year tbh

Kate was excellent last night- amazing defense on VB and gabby, forcing turnovers and a jumpball and her 3 was beautiful. Lynne is trash so of course she didn't play her and Cam as much as she should have.

tbf the only person that Kate dated that they seemed to not like was Claire. They loved her other ex and seem way more cool with Veronica.
