Nintendo Direct set for June 9, followed by Nintendo Treehouse: Live! - Gematsu

Nintendo will host a Nintendo Direct broadcast on June 9 at 7:00 a.m PT / 10:00 a.m. ET, featuring approximately 50 minutes of updates, followed directly by a Nintendo Treehouse: Live! that will run for approximately 95 minutes, the company announced. You will be able to watch it on YouTube (America, Europe, Japan) and Nintendo.com (America, Europe, Japan).

Spyro: A Realm Beyond announced for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC - Gematsu

Publisher Activision and developer Toys for Bob have announced Spyro: A Realm Beyond for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). It will launch in spring 2027.

The 2014 Japanese official website for Pokémon Art Academy for the Nintendo 3DS featured a gallery of images, one of which was a Pikachu with a Mario-inspired hat and a Piplup with a Luigi-inspired hat.

#how cuuuuute!!!!!#yk piplup sure got a lot of promotion despite being the 2nd most chosen spot after chimchar #it even got a mascot performer for brilliant diamond and shining pearl but still never really made it past chimchar #its funny tho. if this cute little pic was made nowadays itd undoubtedly be eevee for the weegee hat #eevee is literally pikachu's partner like weeg to mario now. granted! charizard is still the 2nd overall mascot of pkmn #but eevee is Always now paired up with pika just like how every other player 2 is paired with whatever the mc is #its crazy tbh. Ive looked into great detail about it and while it was always kinda popular during the old days like I remember personally #it Grew a lot after Hoenn and exploded bc of Go #regardless the point is that its a secondary mascot specifically to pika and it should be the luigi instead of ANOTHER Pikachu #only passionate of it bc the plush and card set lol I have the mariochu plush :^]#Pokémon #oh but yea this was cuuuuute! always a delight to see pkmn in actual 1st party nintendo games

A Giant Metal Sonic toy has been revealed for Jakks Pacific! He has a little Eggman sitting in him, similar to the Big Metal Fighter boss in ‘Sonic Superstars’.

in somewhat lighter news, I finally beat Samus Returns :^] it was good! Granted, some of the backtracking after the gravity suit felt a bit dragging and my analog stick cover popping off repeatedly was very annoying and a pain in the ass when fighting off the higher metroids But it was still overall a very fun experience! The level design, the graphics being surprisingly really well for a 3DS game that was also outsourced to different studio from the original game, the music, the action felt super solid and you can tell it was the stepping point to Dread's smoothness, got dang it was good!

The added fight of Ridley, I can understand why some would say it feels out of place and ruins the flow, but idk. It is Just cool but also makes sense that the pirates would be keeping a tab on her and the big boss would strike when the time is right after a mission. The drill boss enemy was fucking tough tho holy shit dude that legitimately made me mad bc I kept getting my ass kicked dude lmao. It was a nice challenge for actually testing your reflexes and patience for the right times to strike, while also testing to see if you know what to do when the time calls for it like the spider ball section when the mouth opened so to speak.

Also. Nearly Everyone knows that Metroid is based off of the Aliens franchise and while you can tell from some of the other games, you can DEFINITELY tell with this one. Every Metroid boss is like one of the evolutions, it's so fucking cool!!!!

Overall, a really great game!!! Whatever gripes there are with it are much more tolerable and even overwhelmed thanks to all the greats of it. I wouldn't say that it being limited to the 3DS is a detriment, but I do think it'd work perfectly if it was ported to one of the consoles proper. I'd love for it to see more love on the Switch or 2.

Also, the gallery after beating the game? Absolutely flawless way to get hype. That is a perfect. foreshadow? hint? cliffhanger? whatever you call it, it was a genuinely perfect execution that led to Dread.
