Why did I turn off reblogs?

Simple. Because my wife and I aren't our source, we know how our relationship seems, but we do not see each other in that fashion. We are in a healthy, NORMAL relationship. You can comment, "Oh my god, you shouldn't be dating her!!!" Well, I am, we are happy and AS STATED, we are not our source

Nightmare was sitting in the grass of Outertale's waterfall, looking up at the moons and stars above. He was lost in thought of nothing in particular, just switching between many things.

Where should he get negativity next? Should he recruit another lowlife? What should he eat?

Then he heard something that shattered his train of thought.

The bubbling hiss of a portal forming—one he knew too well—echoed through the space. Ink.

Nightmare rose instantly, tension coiling in his shoulders. His tentacles unfurled from his back, poised and alert.

From the swirling puddle, Ink emerged—without his satchel, without his beloved Broomie. That alone threw Nightmare for a split second. His eyes narrowed. Focus returned like a blade drawn.

Ink's entrance was eerily smooth, rising from the liquid like Samara from The Ring. Nightmare watched with hawk-like intensity as Ink stretched casually... and yawned.

Then their eyes met. Ink froze.

"Oh, it's you! Hi!" Ink casually said, smiling and waving as he walked over to him.

Nightmare recoiled. His body twitched at the edges—his tentacles stiffened. The joy radiating off Ink wasn't just annoying. It hurt.

Warmth rolled over him like acid, and he hissed under his breath. "Don't get near me—" he started, voice sharp.

But Ink was already there.

Nightmare had to look down to meet his gaze and grudgingly did so. That damn smile was still there, bright and unbothered.

"Why are you here?" Nightmare asked, eyeing him warily. His voice was low, sharp—laced with annoyance, but with slight curiosity.

Ink didn't answer right away. He walked past, unconcerned by the tension bristling off Nightmare like static.

"To see the stars," he said at last, stopping near the water's edge. He stared at his reflection for a moment—silent, thoughtful—before glancing back over his shoulder.

His tone softened, almost inviting. "Aren't you here to look at them too?" His tail gave a slow, relaxed wag.

Nightmare stood there, silent, flabbergasted, and thoroughly annoyed. "…Yes. I am," he finally said, voice flat. Then, with a roll of his eye, he added, "Is that a shocker?"

Ink shrugged, completely unbothered. "Not really. They're pretty—especially out here..."

He turned back to Nightmare, eyes reflecting starlight. "Outertale is beautiful, isn't it?" His tail gave another slow wag, curious and sincere.

Nightmare exhaled through his nose, long and heavy. Every instinct told him to scoff, to walk away—or better yet, fight—but instead... he stepped forward. Slowly. Begrudgingly.

"…Yes," he muttered. "It's quite beautiful."

The words tasted like ash. His gut twisted—or would have, if he had one. Being this close to Ink made his form itch, and yet, here he was, talking to him.

Ink lowered himself to the grass before he laid down without a care in the world. Like he wasn't feet away from the enemy.
