•Mechanic and engineer of course, but he also knows a lot about Eridian physics, chemistry and biology.

•If he would be put in the universe where the movie and book take place, he would probably be spending a lot of time observing Ryland ("the blobby leaky alien") and coming up with ways to improve his environment, and his dad (Sci) would take part in organizing the mission that Rocky was in.

•He gets really excited once he can expand his knowledge about insects (Eridians should have some sort of an equivalent of insects... right?) to Earth's species, he also starts reading an insane amount of wiki articles about them.

Rurik

-Appearance:

•He has rigid edges and forms that resemble spikes. He's made of material that is orange-brown with green and yellow accents.

•He's very big for his age and his body is elongated upwards (or downwards, idk yet). He has a few carvings (tattooes).

•He wears green and black jackets and shirts, and a piece of a white, flat metal on his neck that he later gifts to Dante.

-Info:

•I'm not sure if Eridians even had wars or an army, so if not, he probably got into some fighting matches with other Eridians (I imagine it as something deeply frowned upon), which gained him the crack and scratches.

•His favorite hobby (and a part of his current job in the colony) is hunting and preparing the animal carcasses for consumption. He also likes hoarding gemstones.

•Him and Dante are mates and for that reason they wear the Eridian equivalent of a wedding ring - a proposal stone embedded into their carapace in the color of their mate.

•Both of them also used to go around colonies and steal their resources when they were younger, but they had to finally settle for better quality of life and survival.

Palette

-Appearance:

•He has soft edges and roundish, rather short body.

•He's made of a material that is yellowish-cream-brown with rainbow mineral elements (mostly pink, teal and blue), which even in Eridian language gave him the name that's an equivalent of "palette" (as in, palette of colorful gemstones, specifically).

•He often wears a little cap and a yellow bandana.

-Info:

•He is a rock artist (one of those who create beautiful landscapes using rocks and gems, which is an artistic field unique to Eridians, but I'm sure they have other arts that he could do too).

•Him and Rurik are from egg batches from the same Eridian named Dream, but they don't find out until later, as it's extremely rare for Eridians to have eggs with more than one partner (they mate for life), and Palette only remembered his siblings from his own batch.

•He loves exploring Erid and often brings back cool trinkets and gifts to his colony

•He's well liked and before he departed on his journeys, he was locally known for giving good advice and generosity.

Due

-Appearance:

•She's made of a grayish-black material with teal-blue elements and is slightly bigger than Palette.

•They have a very rare mineral attached to the back of their carapace and some Eridians were way too interested in it as a source energy, so she covers it up with a jacket that has cloudy fluff on it.

-Info:

•Lost her parents to a horrible accident they don't want to talk about, their entire colony was gone too so she had to set off and find another one.

•She adores crafting jewerely out of metals and gemstones, as well as clothes for other Eridians to wear, but she doesn't like socializing with them much, so she drops them off like silent gifts.

•Palette found her sleeping in a cave once, all alone and stayed there until she woke up. She joined him for adventures and then they became mates.

Lotus

-Appearance:

•He's a very small Eridian with weirdly sharp claws, that has a black color with dark-blue undertones, as well as purple and red accents and some mold patches.

•They embedded themselves with various metals and stones (like "piercings").

I mean yeah I am not surprised Rurik is jealous of the good things Palette has since he himself went through so much but just think of the potential here...

like it's so crazy that they're both hiding their pain most of the time but one behind a smile and the other behind a cold frown and bravado
