So... this one is actually pretty personal and has been eating away at me for a year, so I finally got the courage to do it. I was debating not sharing for a couple different reasons, but I think it's important to me overall as part of the healing process to express it.
I don't really think I can put it all into words here. I kinda don't want to, so it'll be the abridged version. I just want you all to know I'm doing okay. Some of you know, some of you don't. That's fine.
I've been spiraling out over the last year after suffering tragedy after tragedy, sometimes resorting to not so savory efforts to numb my pain.
But I had my devil boys again that always seem to become relevant in my life right when I need to latch onto them for safety. Right on cue. I had my very caring and patient husband dealing with drastic fluctuations in my mental and overall health, quite literally my "Virgil" in my own personal Divine Comedy as I took to hyperfixation and maladaptive daydreaming as I often do to cope with my loss and trauma.
It's probably pretty obvious who Vergil actually represents in my story...
Then, somehow the stars aligned and one of my already favorite musicians came out with an album that became my instant and forever favorite that somehow perfectly narrated my experiences and all the whimsy I was striving to give myself as I descended.
Ross did see this and he liked it a lot. That really made my day, he's such a sweetheart. He made me fall in love with music again.
