Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up was a 1904 stage play by Scottish author J. M. Barrie. In 1911 he published it as the novel Peter and Wendy.

There has been many adaptions of the story over the years, including original prequels, sequels, and spin-offs.

Peter Pan (1953 Film)

Disney's animated adaption starring Bobby Driscoll as Peter Pan, Kathryn Beaumont as Wendy Darling, Hans Conried as Captain Hook

It was later followed by an original sequel with a new voice cast, Return to Neverland (2002), and the 2008 Tinker Bell spin-off movie (and its subsequent sequels)

Peter Pan (1954 Stage Musical)

A long-lived musical production which consecutevely starred Mary Martin, Sandy Duncan, Cathy Rigby and others as Peter Pan. Like in Barrie's play, the title role is played by a woman, and Captain Hook's actor also plays Mr. Darling

Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) joins the series as part of the main cast starting on season 2. The first half of season 3 focuses on Neverland, having Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) as the villain

2003 movie is by far my favorite, I love it. Others can't compare, imo.

As for OUAT, I was never keen on the concept of an evil Peter but the series surprised me and made me love its take on it. The actor is very fun in the role. Granted they later took it into a direction I didn't like but I just ignore that part. Plus Hook is cool.

Disney's is a classic, sure, but it just never was among my favorites. The sequel is worth watching too, as far as I remember.

Peter Pan & Wendy has some interesting ideas but I don't know, something is missing. It's different from the animated version, by the way.

I remember enjoying the Neverland miniseries, but it's got a very different vibe. Like, it wasn't incredible, but it's nice to see something different.

On stage, traditionally the actor who plays Captain Hook also plays Mr. Darling. In movies this was done with Jason Isaacs in Peter Pan (2003) and Stanley Tucci in Peter and Wendy (2015).

Tucci actually had a triple role, as in the film the Peter Pan book is being read by children at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where Tucci plays local Dr. Wylie. In real life, author J. M. Barrie donated the rights of Peter Pan to this hospital.
