okay so what is this au about, it’s about a totally original concept of there being a fifth diamond that ALSO had a human child, please please, hold your applause…

yeah, I know that stuff like this has been made by like so many other people but I don’t care so ONTO THE INFO!!

the AU’s name is: The Smallest/Littlest Planet, because the main characters name is Pluto! He’s the child of the late but ever mysterious Black Diamond, residing over their court after they passed in childbirth.

I thought the concept of a character having opposite progression to Steven would be interesting as well as having an opposite upbringing!

Okay I don’t really want to spoil like a lot of stuff BUT, Pluto was raised by gems YES, but these gems saw him as human first, gem second, while I could argue that the Crystal Gems + Greg saw Steven as gem first, human second. Pluto’s caretakers (his inner court) were taught everything to know about humans, about childcare, and have always strived to ensure his safety and happiness. His human father is also dead, he died shortly after Pluto was born.

Imagine Grace defined his name as the elegance definition of grace and Rocky spends years thinking how fucking ironic this clumsy leaky space blobs name is.

Until Grace slips out a sentence along the lines of "could you give me a little grace here" and Rocky immediately points out he used a word wrong so Grace has to explain that yeah, grace means elegance but it can also mean mercy sometimes too.
