quora please stop emailing me
severely deficient in whatever vitamin makes u a person
If anyone knows the cultural context behind this, let me know.
But I love that in so many modern day CDramas, there are often scenes where the woman gets her period suddenly and the guy takes care of her (and usually goes to buy her pads).
This is always played up as a surprising but romantic thing. Like the woman is always surprised heâs so chill about it and heâs seen as romantic for taking care of her.
I have absolutely zero idea what the actual cultural context is, but I do love the idea that 1) weâre talking about women having periods and 2) itâs shown as positive and romantic that the guy would take care of her. And also 3) the only joke in the situation is that the guy is unsure about which pads to buy and has to either politely ask the woman who works at the shop, or buy every kind to be sure he has the right ones.
I feel like in western media periods are either completely nonexistent or played off as a (negative and insulting) joke, and women are apologetic for having them and men are grossed out.
Give me more caring men please.

your fic was good you did grammar good youâre the kind of freak people like everythingâs cool dude :^)
As a principled feminist I'm often tempted to say shit like "are men capable of higher thought" but then I have to remember not to perpetuate gender essentialism and change it to "why do men choose not to think about anything"

hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset
the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big
âGhosts are realâ I can see how you could believe that
âGhosts arenât realâ itâs very fair and rational that you believe that
âGhosts arenât real anymoreâ Iâm about to hear a poem or very sad story
âGhosts arenât real yetâ the fuck are you going to do
Itâs Motherâs Day in France, so the 6 year old made me a board game. My husband made the cards.
Yes, that card on the far right is a reference to CDramas, and also the entire extent of my husbandâs knowledge of them.

Hey did you draw that evil feminist caricature to warn men how their wives would act once they got the right to vote? Illustrator: sure did boss. real sexy, just like you asked.
Part of an art trend I like to think of as âWeâre terrified we might get treated the way we treat themâ.
You're on Tumblr a lot
