because I'm alive and I don't know what else to do, I'm gonna love everyone as much as I possibly can
Thoughts on the expression "jilling off"
unnecessary. jacking off is for everyone regardless of gender #equality
there's never a time when its not a good idea to feminize more of the english language.
well you see it's actually not like that even a little bit because the "jack" in "jacking off" is not any more gendered than the term "headphone jack". hope this helps.
huge fan of when characters love each other and are closely bonded in an explicitly nonromantic way. however ☝️ i am very much not a huge fan of what happens when characters like this are introduced to fandom

Wtf is this nerd doing at a house party?? 🤨
This was my darling pookie’s idea :)
Closeups under the cut!!!
the thing about copyright abolition is that. what makes theft bad is that something is taken away from its rightful owner. in this sense, copyright infringement is literally not theft, because making a copy of something doesn't tangibly cause the original owner to lose anything that they would otherwise have. copyright enforcement, on the other hand, does take away people's access to what should be theirs. anyone who makes art while employed by a corporation and is unable to sell their work because it does not belong to them, anyone who's been sued by a pop musician for making music that sounds vaguely similar if you don't allow the jury to listen to the actual songs, these people have far more in common with victims of theft than anyone whose copyright has been infringed
like the thing with the film rights to MLK's speeches being owned by spielberg / dreamworks, that's not actually an instance where copyright law failed to protect artists. that's the system working as intended. MLK's speeches were his intellectual property. when he died the rights to that intellectual property transfered to his family, and his family decided to sell those rights to dreamworks, thereby functionally preventing anyone else from legally using those speeches in a film for the next several decades. no crime was committed, nobody was tricked into anything, that's just how intellectual property rights work
Doodles of varying happiness levels
Just pretend he's wearing the suit BTW it looks bad when I try to draw it w this style LMAO
Does our art/craft/writing have to be project hail mary themed? Or can we just make art of space in general within the theme for the day? What about other fandoms? For example your "to boldly go"...where no one's gone before prompt inspires me to make star trek themed work for that day.
hi! GREAT question, and the answer is you can absolutely make anything space-themed for this event! while the years theme for 2026 is Project Hail Mary, the overall theme of Augustellar is space, astronomy, and all things galactic. if a prompt inspires you to make something milky way-themed or based on the Artemis missions or modeled after the Hubble telescope, heck yeah absolutely go for it!
and yes, some of the prompts are thematically a bit star wars/trek on purpose! you can definitely make other sci-fi fandom art if that's what you're inspired to make from the daily prompt. that weekend in specific will be a special fanart crossover weekend event, but more on that to come :) happy creating!!

Project IronLoss propaganda 😛 (pt2)
The next few hours were nothing but grueling for Ranboo. Not only were their insides being torn apart, they were alive.
They didn’t want this. He didn’t want a second chance, he wanted death. That was all he wanted.
The begging, the bright lights, the coppery taste of blood, the feeling of his brain matter oozing from their head… he remembered all of it, and it weighed heavy on him. Though barely conscious, there was one thought that persisted through the haze of his mind.
“I should be dead.”
The sense of dread that emanated from Ranboo was crushing, you could feel it in the room. At least Simon could, Grace was pacing back and forth anxiously as he kept an eye on the heart monitor.
“I- I just don’t know how this is possible. I mean- wires! There are so many wires!! How did that even happen?!” He exclaimed.
“We haven’t examined him for any indicators, and we still don’t know what to do with the organ damage they caused.” Simon added. “I’m assuming those didn’t get there on their own.”
Grace exhaled, pinching the bridge of his nose. “You can say that again. How does all of this even happen to a kid? He probably hasn’t even finished college.” He thought for a moment. “No. Assuming he’s 17, he hasn’t even started yet.”
Simon let out a heavy sigh, looking back at the piece of paper that he found in the kids coat pocket after they fell unconscious.
“RaNboO”
The paper was crinkled and letters were messy, almost rushed.
“At least they’re stable.” He muttered as he set it aside. The heart monitor continued to beep, but it almost began to.. mock them.
The sound of oxygen depleting.
The sound of an inevitable launch.
It was mocking them.
He’s one of yours now.
(I’m gonna start using the “pilp” tag, which stands for “project ironloss propaganda.” That’s what I’m naming this.)
((Tell me what you think!!))
Ran, my dad is 6'6"... what if we put him in a Freddy costume and he just stands idly in the back corner of your setup?
Yeah alright send him over

The Amazing Digital ocs
AU Masterpost
The base premise of this entire au is essentially:
what if the main cast had completly abstracted?
Be it from a long period or in quick succession. I'll leave it up to viewer interpretation to decide. It's not important how, the baseline is: Caine never has his character development. Or perhaps he has it to late. He is left all alone with his npcs and nobody but bubble to talk to.
In this au timeline, he ends up getting rid of bubble in a fit of rage. But once he does he was so much more lonely.
All he had to do for months was just hope some new humans would eventually come along. So he spent his time waiting.
Then one day, one did come along. And soon, he had a whole new cast to host.
He won't make the same mistakes again.
Keep in mind. There's going to be 10 chapters, with a art piece poster for each. I've already completed most of the writing, I'm uploading each chapter as I complete the artworks.

this is going to be a silly reblog but i have kind of a fixation on animal qualia and the idea of an animal's umwelt, so i ended up wondering whether pudding was actually "enjoying" this.
which meant i went and read about snail brains.
here's the bad news, at least by human standards:
snails do not have anything like a centralized brain. their nervous system is made up of small clusters of neurons (ganglia) that mostly handle very local tasks. they don't have a cortex, they don't build big integrated models of the world, and they almost certainly don't experience things like appreciation, anticipation, or savoring.
pudding is not looking at the sky and thinking it's beautiful.
snail eyes are basically light sensors - they can tell bright from dark, but not form images. snail "taste" is done through chemoreceptors on their tentacles and around their mouth. those receptors don't produce flavor the way ours do; they just detect chemical compounds and sort them into "approach," "ignore," or "avoid."
so there's no evidence that snails enjoy food, or wind, or views, the way mammals do.
and that does sound kind of sad. but then i thought that maybe we are asking the wrong question.
snails do have valence. they detect aversive things (like salt or dryness) and withdraw from them. they detect non-aversive or beneficial conditions (like moisture) and stay extended. when pudding is stretched out like this, it means his nervous system is basically saying "this is safe; nothing is wrong."
if we define pleasure not as our human experience of dopamine and reward chemicals but instead as "the absence of aversion" - a state where the organism is open to its environment instead of defending itself - then this does count as something positive, even if it's extremely nothing like human enjoyment.
pudding isn't appreciating the wind. but his body is registering humidity, safety, and the ability to keep functioning, and that matters to him in the only way his nervous system can make things matter. he does not think "this is great, this is awesome, i love the weather", because he doesn't think in the way we do at all, but the neurological action in his ganglion tell his body that he is safe, that the moisture is an acceptable level, that it's not too dry or windy, and that there's nothing imminently threatening.
i think a lot of the sadness comes from assuming that a good life has to look like ours: full of enjoyment, meaning, and aesthetic experience. but a snail isn't missing those things. its world just isn't built to include them.
snails don't have a sense of flavor. they don't even have tastebuds. this seems like a gimme, right? but again that might be asking the wrong question about what "taste" is. biologically speaking, it's chemoreception. we taste sweet because it indicates high value, high calorie sugar molecules. we taste salty for salt, umami for proteins. so in what way does pudding's chemoreceptors differ from ours instrumentally? we can say "by our human perspective, pudding can't experience "preference" or "savoring" or "anticipation of delicious food"", but from pudding's perspective we have radically overengineered ourselves for the task at hand. pudding can tell what's salty, what's high value, what has the chemicals he needs. the functional outcome is that he can discriminate food souces based on their composition. is that not taste?
so maybe the point isn't "this is sad because he can't enjoy it," but "this is a reminder that minds come in radically different shapes, and value doesn't have to be rich to be real."
“minds come in radically different shapes, and value doesn't have to be rich to be real”
