From 7/1 to 7/15, send us an ask with your best ideas for Project Hail Mary-themed Augustellar art prompts! 31 prompts, or one per day, will be chosen for the Official Prompt List Release on 7/17!

Using the below link, send us a prompt! Or two prompts! Or thirty-one prompts! There is no limit to how many you can submit, though please be aware that only one prompt will be used per individual. Please be honest!

Please use the phrase "Prompt Submission" in your ask to make it clear that your ask is a prompt! If you have a separate question or comment, please send a separate ask.

The ask box will be accepting prompt submissions until 11:59PM EST on 7/15. The Official Prompt List will be released on 7/17.

Prompts can be anything: a single word, a sentence, a picture, whatever. It only needs to be inspired by Project Hail Mary! You may add an explanation for your prompt in your ask, but be aware that something too vague might not be the best choice for a Project Hail Mary-themed event.

Prompts that are selected for the Official Prompt List will be dedicated to the submitter, with a call-out post tagging them for thanks and recognition on the day their prompt is used! Anonymous submissions are allowed, but we obviously won't be able to dedicate them to the submitter.

If your prompt is selected for the Official Prompt List, you will be alerted on 7/16 and given the opportunity to request the day in August that your prompt is used. We will do our best to accommodate!

I dont even know what kind of prompt to submit but uhhh maybe AU's?

And each member has their own prompt,does that mean that i will have a prompt and i have to stick to it for the whole event?How do the prompts get selected for a member?

good question, let me clarify!

this event functions as a "X Amount of Art in X Amount of Days" challenge, in this case, "31 Project Hail Mary Fanworks in 31 Days" for each day of August. if you've ever seen or heard of Inktober or Mermay, that's what Augustellar is like!

artists and creators who join won't be limited to one prompt. these prompt submissions are for everyone to submit ideas for prompts they might like to see during Augustellar, and 31 prompts will be chosen for the event. on 7/17, a calendar list of all chosen 31 prompts will be released, with one prompt per day! then, for the entire month of August, everyone participating will be challenged with creating 1 PHM or space-themed fanwork based off of the daily prompt.

as an example, your prompt of AU's might look like "August 1st Prompt: PHM AU of Choice", and everyone will then have the day of 8/1 to create and post something inspired by that! then the next day might look like "August 2nd Prompt: Eridian Rock Garden", and people create some form of art inspired by that second prompt. and so on, through the whole month! the challenge is to fulfill all 31 prompts, one per day, but all levels of participation are welcome!
