If you would like a gold watering can, bring one gold nugget and one watering can. Once on the island, just type “wc” in chat so I can head over and combine them for you. Tips or gifts are not necessary but are always appreciated!

You may take one mystery clothing item from in front of the museum. Please respect this limit.

I have all fruit types in storage. If you are looking for a certain kind, type “LF [fruit]” in chat and I’ll give you one until supplies run out.

Feel free to shop, fish, catch bugs, and take recipes, but please don’t pick flowers without asking; I have many fenced off now for that reason.

This girl on among us have me her number and turns out she’s 13. It was like 3am and she proceeded to tell me the name of her town, what school she went to, both of her parents jobs, how she did in class, what her home life is like, the first names of all of her friends, ect. All of this mostly unprompted. The smartest thing she did was ask to FaceTime me to make sure I ‘wasn’t a 40yo catfish’ and she talked about the other kids that she had met on among us this way.

To any kids out there: I know that quarantine is stressful and we’re all depressed and lonely bu please please please don’t give out your information to strangers on the internet, and if you do there are dozens of safer options than just giving everything to everyone and just hoping for the best

My little sister is 14 and she gave out her information to the wrong person who shared it somewhere and she can now count on two hands the number of teens and young adults who have asked for nudes and favors and personal information. It’s really worsening her anxiety and anorexia so please I’m begging you don’t give out any of your information unless you explicitly trust the person you’re giving it to.

It’s not a matter of kids being dumb!

When the internet was a brand new thing, kids were pretty much kept away from it until they were at LEAST teenagers. Then it was drilled into their heads not to trust anyone online, that anyone you talked to could/would hurt you, etc. But as technology got more prominent, kids started getting access to it at younger ages when they couldn’t really comprehend the messages older generations were taught about the internet.

When social media was originally kid’s FIRST introduction to the internet, it’s now kid’s LAST introduction. They grow up on online games, video platforms, things that are primarily one way. Things that are relatively low risk (and usually don’t have a chat). They get comfortable with this and sort of forget that people aren’t all like that. They grew up comfortable with seeing strangers on the internet (usually “influencers” who DO share their age and location!) and think that’s the norm and that it’s safe. But it’s not

TLDR: it’s not that kids are stupid, it’s that people have stopped teaching that the internet is full of people you don’t know with motives you don’t know.

Don’t forget that social media have influenced people to share a lot of private and sensitive information, in general. And adults are the first people doing this. Not everyone in their 40s and 30s has grown up online. For some, their first introduction to the internet was with smartphone and Facebook. This makes them easy target as well. Then they are parents and are not able to teach kids the proper way to approach the web because they don’t know in the first place. And when kids see adults do something, they imitate them.

This culture of sharing personal and sensite information is very subtle and devious. Health, gender, race, sexuality, among others, are called SENSITIVE INFORMATION for a reason. You don’t owe them to ANYONE. Not in real life, not on the internet. Stay safe.

There's a guy in Brooklyn Center who gave an interview on the news, face exposed, held up a can of soup and looked directly in the camera and said "this is soup for my family" and then winked to the camera. The reporter asked "you're not going to throw that at police, are you?" And he said "it's for my family." Twitter leftists respond to this by all coming out and saying he's hot and wanting to fuck him.

What he did was go on national television, with his face exposed, and said he was going to attack police officers. He just endangered everyone he organizes with. He will be identified, not just by police, and they're gonna use that to target people around him. He is putting the lives of his entire crew at risk because he wanted to say the funny meme on television and decided to expose his face to do it. DO NOT FUCKING DO SHIT LIKE THIS. DO NOT ENCOURAGE BULLSHIT LIKE THIS. IT IS AN INFOSEC NIGHTMARE AND YOU ARE GOING TO GET YOUR FRIENDS SPECIFICALLY TARGETED BY POLICE. NOT ONLY WILL THEY HARASS YOU AFTER THE FACT, THEY WILL SPECIFICALLY AIM FOR YOU WITH RIOT MUNITIONS. THIS ISN'T A FUCKING GAME.
