I’m a little over 5 feet and it’s been a struggle in every kitchen I have been in because it’s like they were designed for giants.
The problem I think is that restaurant kitchens are never given adequate space so the only solution is to build up in order to fit everything you need on your tiny little station. :/
That’s funny, cuz I’m about 5′5″ and I’ve always felt that standard prep tables were designed with dwarves in mind.
5′7″ and I feel like I have the best of both worlds in kitchens - I can reach most things pretty well, but I don’t bang my head on hanging racks like my taller coworkers do.
