@the-director 's made an amazing post on Superman and Bizarro's relationship and I love it, but another interesting element of their dynamic is that Bizarro is, whether intentionally or not, coded to be mentally disabled.
The intended implication is that because bizarro is an imperfect clone and was made 'incorrectly' that's where his intellectual disability comes from, but it's far more interesting to view it from the perspective of Clark also being mentally disabled.
An important part of Clark's story is hiding important parts of himself to appear more 'normal' which, yes, is first and foremost a metaphor about immigration, but that doesn't mean it can't also be an unintended metaphor about disability.
In contrast to Clark, Bizarro won't or can't hide his disability and because of it gets treated with disdain by everyone, including Clark.
He's not like me, he's dangerous, he looks and talks 'weird', he's disabled, not me though.
Bizarro wants to be Clark to be loved and accepted by people And Clark wants to be seen as normal by everyone, including himself.
