Good news! I was able to find wild Mutfruit nearby. Sure it's got the tiniest amount of taint in it buy, it's still edible in a pinch. There's nothing to cook it with here so raw eating is all we've got.

I was right about Steelwing. He's got a crazy fever. I'm debating using the potion if it gets worse. I dont want him to be permanently disabled though. Being a Talon is all he has left.

I dont remember if I recorded this or not, but he used to be an aerial ace and even served for the leader of a settlement before he lost his wing. He hasn't been able to land any work except with the Talons. Losing your wings or even one of them has lead to suicide in gryphons.

If I use this potion and his broken bones mend together incorrectly I could take everything he has left from him...

I dont know if I can do that. But I sure as tartarus dont want to let him die of sickness either!

Maybe I can find some medicine in all this junk. This cart is packed with crates and boxes I haven't gone through yet.

Okay, super for real, I think Steelwing is getting delirious. He was telling me about a magnificent palace hidden in the desert and that we must go there to rescue the princess. Something about a sfinks.

Yeah the pain is getting to him I'm sure.

The cart turned out to be an old show wagon. Its filled with broken set pieces and fireworks. I think a few of these may be salvageable. I'll see what I can collect. Maybe make a few caps?

Gave Steelwing Med-X so he can calm down and set up camp for the night. While he sleeps I'm going to forage for some wild edibles.

My Dad, that bastard, taught me one thing above all else. When it's time to sleep, make sure someone is keeping watch. So I'll be staying awake for the night. Not going to have a repeat of the steel rangers incident though. Going to have to find a safe place to sleep soon.

I'll be posting again here soon. I took a small depression break cause I broke up with my girlfriend.

Also got to play Fallout 76. Gotta say, it cheered me up. Going to see about making an audio post tomorrow. You will definitely see a log entry before then though.

Making progress, Steelwing is waving his bent sword around valiantly to absolutley no avail. He's mumbling something about bloatflies? Either way we're already half way to PonEvil. We will have to detour to the south to avoid the town its self in case more raiders showed up. We also want to stay well clear of Everfree.

Those slavers in Philidelphia are planning to do something with it. Again, I dont approve of slaving but I hope they succeed. It's easier to deal with ponies than the nightmares in everfree.

At any rate, there isn't much to the south of ponyville unless you hike towards Ghastly Gorge. No one goes there though, the place is filled with radiation, flux, ghouls, and abominations. My plan is to skim the area between the gorge and PonyEvil. With any level of luck I won't have to deal with anything more than a bloat fly.

That's all for now. I think I see a prewar wagon in the distance. It's got some stars on it. More after I investigate.

Good news, I've recovered Whisper. It's now my only functioning gun with zero bullets left for it. I'm going to have to rely on magic while we travel. I'm not a combat unicorn so I dont really know any attack spells, but I can hide pretty well. So we're gonna have to stick to hiding.

I was able to fashion a sled for Steelwing out of panels that made up the counter in the rest stop. It seems sturdy enough, so I'm going to be dragging him along behind me.

Nice. Exercise, new lungs, no guns, broken friends. Big ol mixed bag. Not to mention I've completely lost track of my other friends.

I hope to goodness they're back at Junction R-7.

Well, I'd better start pulling. Steelwing is getting hungry and I'd rather find some food on the way if we can. What little food I found at the bunker is almost gone.

Have you ever been walking around and a puff of dust gets in your mouth? Yeah so, apparently that's what it's like walking in the wasteland... all the time. My poor, newly repaired lungs. I've been stopping every 20 minutes or so to cough out everything the blows up into my face. Is this what it's like for ponies all the time? I dont remember having to do this before I got my original respirator.

Minor annoyances aside, I've reached the rest stop and found Steelwing. He's in no shape to travel, but he's alive. He says I've been gone for 3 days. His leg is completely broken, but he has a splint made up until we can get a hold of some Hyrda. He refused a potion, saying that it would cause the bones to heal improperly. He was more than happy to take several of the food packs that I found on the way here. I think the scientist ponies gave them to me.

I'm not sure how much about them I should share, but I did let Steelwing know what happened.

He says he's glad... he, likes my smile?

I'm not sure how to take that to be honest.

I'll have more to say when I figure out how to transport a half ton of Gryphon.

The code for the entrance worked, turns out the place wasnt as big as I thought it was. I did find a healthy supply of potions! Also some mint-als. At the good Dr.'s advice I took all of it. I found my gear and weapons by the door. For all the work they did on my body my gun seems to be in bad shape still. Whisper is missing! I think they left it at the rest stop.

Upon exiting the bunker I ended up inside of an old shack that seemed very familiar.

I didnt hit me as to where I was for a couple of minutes... this is the shack I was trying to hide in when I first got shot in the lungs all those years ago! Did these guys save me? They sounded like ghouls, so maybe they have the old world blues like me...

Heh, hope for a better tomorrow? As long as those guys are around, I think there's a chance. I wish I could have met them before they left though... I wonder why they dont need the lab anymore.

Anyway, I'll think about stuff later. Right now I'm heading back towards the rest stop. I'm surprisingly close by. If I gallop it should only be a few hours. Time to out these new lungs of my to the test.

Buck it's nice to breathe the stale wasteland air. I dont want to breathe sanitized air ever again.
