Chuckling as he glanced down at Mason’s cart, Joey nodded. “Don’t worry, I’m stocking up too,” he admitted. “But long time no see, man. How are you?”
Taking a brief glance at Joey’s cart he gave a nod of approval. “Do you have to have a stalk pile of Mac and Cheese and chicken nuggets?” He asked, “I’m doing well, I think I had a well needed trip out of here. How are you?”
“As long as you don’t carry on eating pasta and garlic powder, buy whatever you want.” Jody laughed. “But don’t do what I do and rely on takeout, I think I need to take some cooking lessons.” She rolled her eyes.
“I probably won’t eat pasta for another month or two.” Taking in a breath he let out a chuckle “Well I think make pasta and garlic powder taste pretty good. If you want I can give you a few lessons.”
He had promised Joey to make dinner tonight, which was exciting. So going to the store, he looked through the list he had made, trying to find the things he needed. That was when he saw Mason and he smiled a little. “Woah, it’s been a long time since I last saw you” he giggled.
Mason’s eyes lit up when he saw Clem, he had forgotten how much he’d missed the people in LA. Opening his arms up for a hug he smiled warmly at Clem, “Yes, it’s been a very long time. How have things been for you?”
“Pasta is the best, what the hell do you mean?” he asked, cocking one of his eyebrows as he looked at him before he smiled a little. “Besides from that, how are you? It’s been a hot minute since I last saw you”
“I’m not going to disagree with you on that. But if pasta isn’t seasoned properly then it can be a bit repetitive.” Mason flashed David a tight grin. “I’ve been Europe for the last few months, so you know things have nice. From what I heard I missed a lot of drama.”

When Trinity noticed Mason in the store, she couldn’t help but laugh as she looked at the contents of his cart after he spoke. “Hey, I’m not judging anyone. My kitchen is currently stocked with cookie dough and ramen.” The redhead giggled.
Cocking an eyebrow at the redhead, “My question is have you ever thought of combining the two?” Though the combination sounded repulsive, it could potentially be good. “I think it could be good if you make it correctly.”
Hannah stared at him for a moment. “And I’m the unfit parent?” She raised a brow before shaking her head. “I’m hot as fuck, though, we both know you hardly need a reminder of that,” she shrugged simply, watching him toss the box into his cart. “What are you asking exactly? If I killed him? Because you and I both know if I were to murder someone, it would be you,” Hannah pointed out. “At least we can agree on that much,” she let out a small laugh. “Don’t feel so bad. Logan’s accusing me of murder so, he kind of makes Blue look like a dream.” The blonde glanced back over to Mason once she was sure she’d grabbed what she needed. “Depends. Are you making garlic pasta?”
Clenching his jaw Mason let out a drawn out out sigh, “She ate other things for breakfast and lunch.” Briefly talking to Hannah, he was curious how they’d ever last so long in the first place. “You’re hot until you open your mouth.” He shot back. “I was asking how are you doing. Why the hell are you on edge? I’m trying to be civil and it takes me asking but one question before you jump down my throat.” Shaking his head at Hannah. “Yeah, I don’t think either of us are winning in this situation though.” Mason began pushing the cart in Hannah’s direction. “No, I’m not.”
“Don’t question me, I wasn’t the guy. I’m just saying, it’s not the worst thing you can be eating.” Max laughed lowly, “There’s always the online shop you know. You don’t need much time for that.”
“I would argue that Twinkies would be worst but just pasta is pretty high up there.” Letting out a chuckle between his lips. “I’ve heard about those delivery services but I’ve never actually tried one. What do you think of them?”
“Ah, couldn’t sell her on the garlic powdered pasta? Shocker. And here I was thinking cooking was one of your few good qualities,” Hannah glanced over a few selections, grabbing the cheapest she saw. “How’ve I been? Have you spoke to like, anyone? That douche producer was murdered during the last reunion trip. Now everyone’s flipping a shit,” she rolled her eyes. “Oh, and your sister’s fucking my brother, by the way. Can you have your mum take care of that? We both know she’s a pro at harassing significant others.”
“I got her to eat it two nights in a row, but on the third she refused and at that point I was tired of it too, so I would argue that’s pretty impressive.” Rolling his eyes at Hannah’s comment, he caught a brief glance at her cart, though he was concerned it wasn’t his place to ask. “What good qualities do you have again?” Eyeing the products he grabbed a few boxes a kraft, in the fun shapes of course. “It doesn’t matter what I’ve asked other people, I’m asking you. You’ve always been one for putting on a face. But umm yeah I heard a rumor or two about that, it sounds like a shit show.” He muttered his eyes now scanning for whatever else would satisfy the child. “Jesus, they are both pathetic enough for each other. Honestly I kinda hope my mum does, I think Logan hasn’t been good for Blue, but than again what would I know. She choose him over me, even though it wasn’t a competition... But yeah.”His fingers strummed against the cart. “Do you want to come over for dinner today?”
“I once knew a guy that lived off of pasta and butter, that’s literally it.” Max nodded, “By choice, obviously. Weirdly.” He shrugged a little, “so you know, at least you have better taste than him.” that’s t
“Why would anyone choose to do that? That’s terrible for you in so many different ways.” Mason shook his head. “I only eat that because my pantry was empty and I haven’t had time to go grocery shopping.”

Logan frowned at the other his head tilting. “Where’s Lucie?” He asked his voice hard as he spoke not able to hide it. “And when did you get back? Have you seen Hannah?” He asked the words spilling out of him.
Given Logan’s tone, it was clear neither time nor space could improve his relationship with Logan. “Are you asking because you think I don’t know where she is or are you just genuinely curious?” Scanning his eyes over Logan he let out a drawn sigh. “Not too long ago and yes I’ve ran into Hannah. Why?”
“pasta and garlic powder? -and i thought i was a horrible cook.” violet’s eyebrows were raised, very surprised at both his meal of choice, and to see that mason was back in town.
Holding his hands in his defense Mason shrugged. “Those aren’t the worst possible combinations, and I’m buying more food so I don’t have to eat like a college student for the rest of my life.”
It’d been difficult for Hannah since the custody trial–that much had been obvious to anyone. But, to her surprise, once it was over, Mason went somewhat easy on her. Even if the blonde hadn’t been thrilled with the idea of him taking their child to live in another country, Mason had at least made an effort to allow Hannah to talk to Lucie once in a while. Now that the father and daughter were back, she hoped he’d let her be more involved. She was drawn to the full shopping cart in the market when she saw who it belonged to. Glancing up when he addressed her, Hannah offered a slight smile. “Don’t forget the chicken nuggets.”
Traveling to Europe with Lucie had been a challenge, while Mason played a game of mental tug of war about leaving child behind. After much thought it became clear Lucie would be best with him, though he’d ensure Hannah would still be in connect with her mother, even after he’d heard some unsavory things. “I don’t think Luce would let me forget. I have like 2 packs, so that’s enough to last her maybe a week.” He joked, which was a weird sensation, having any form of causal conversation with Hannah. “How have you been?”
“Well I mean, it’s only fun if you know how to really work with it.” Monet told him with a small smile. “Didn’t know you were back.”
“There are only so many ways to work with those ingredients.” Mason argued with soft shrug. “I haven’t really had a chance to breath since I’ve been back, but yes here I am. How are you?”
Browsing the deli of target Mason’s cart had begun to look like he’d been stalking up for the apocalypse, filled with all the cooking necessities. “I promise I’m not a hoarder, my kitchen is literally empty  and it’s not fun trying to survive on pasta and garlic powder.”

“How does my new hair color look?” Alicia asked the person nearest her, tossing her head so her hair caught the bright light that was beaming down on her. “Before you ask, it was a bet and I’d lost.”
Mason’s eyes were fixated on his phone, hearing the sound of another voice pulled him out of his fixation with his screen. “Ummm I don’t know what your old hair color looked like so I can’t compare it, but it’s different.” He pressed his lips together. “That makes sense.”
So, the getaway at the cabin wasn’t the best holiday he’d been on, though he was still grateful to have gotten away for a little while - although, the incident did ruin it for him and everyone else. Now though, after coming back and settling into his apartment again, he’d busied himself with working at the gallery, producing some new artwork, and even spending some time with the kids who attended his gallery and considered it a safe space. Once again, he was on his way into the gallery - though today he wasn’t rushing to get there since a friend was covering for him - and so he’d decided to stop in the coffee shop on his way. As he grabbed his drunk and turned to leave, he spotted a familiar face and smiled. “Oh, hey!” he greeted with a smile.
Slipping away from Los Angeles had been a long lost a dream of Mason, now that he’d had nothing holding him down to the city. His job offered him the opportunity to travel to Europe for a film, Luce could stay with him in the hotels and she could go to classes with the other child actors. Now it was time to return to LA, maybe the life of chaos he’d left behind would have settled. It had been a long day, and he’d been running late for work, but he’d make time for coffee. On the way in he smiled at the site of a friendly face, “Hey Daxton, how are you?”
