“How on earth did you cope before I showed up, hm?” he asked with a tired tone, his eyes closed as he ran his fingers through David’s hair. “I know you do, babe.” Ainsley sighed, almost feeling guilty because there wasn’t anything he could do to make David feel better about any of those things. “At least I’m here,” he offered as a small bright side of the situation.

“how did we used to do this?!” violet called out loud to the house from her position at the top of the stairs, hoping at least one of the other residents would reply. sitting down, violet leaned her head against the wall and stretched her legs across the top step. it hadn’t even been a week and the boredom was already taking its toll, and her old routine of eating, drinking, bathing and reading had stopped working. “any suggestions on treating boredom would be appreciated.” she called out once again.

“With a lot of alcohol.” Ainsley replied with a dry laugh, shaking his head as he walked up a few steps to sit down next to Violet, a sigh leaving him as he hit the ground. “Well, I’ve already been round and checked the place out at least a dozen times, and not surprisingly, I got bored of that the second time around,” he began, pursing his lips as he realised just how stupid it was being in the house again. “At the moment, the best I’ve got is more booze. I’d suggest going and talking to everyone, but I have a feeling everyone’s in the same boat, and kind of pissed off to be here again.”

“It’s almost like I never left..” Blue said to herself as she blew a few strands of hair from her eyes and finished unpacking. She hadn’t planned on returning to the show but of course her contract had said otherwise. Her eyes wandered the room, wondering who she’d be rooming with this time as she heard someone approach the doorframe, turning in their direction over her shoulder.

Boredom had settled into Ainsley not even an hour after being in the house. He’d already explored the building from room to room, but found himself doing it again and again, just to pass the time. He was grateful that when he walked into one of the bedrooms, he saw someone standing there instead of it being empty like the previous times he’d gone into it. Leaning against the door frame, Ainsley tilted his head and smirked at the girl. “Hey there, girlfriend. How you doing?” he asked.

It had been years since he’d been on this show and honestly? He thought people would have forgotten about it now. New reality shows came out all the time and Dax had assumed that one would have replaced this just as fast as this show replaced the one before. However, he couldn’t say he wasn’t excited to get back. Most people wouldn’t be excited about having to stay in the house throughout the week, having their phones taken, or having their time using basic everyday items restricted. However, they weren’t Daxton and he’d always had a soft spot for the show, especially since it introduced him to some of the most important people in his life and so, yeah, he was excited to be back. Walking into the kitchen where he assumed everyone would be, the boy readied himself for who he was going to see. “What’s up, losers?” He greeted them, a small but cheeky smile spreading across his face.

Ainsley had been just as surprised at the announcement of the show’s revival as anyone, and to say he’d been angry would be an understatement. As much as he mostly enjoyed his time on the show, and his time in the limelight, that time had come and passed, and he wasn’t prepared to go back into that lifestyle. However, he knew he had no choice thanks to the contract. He’d been in the house for barely an hour, and found himself already struggling with something to do. So, he’d headed to the kitchen and began to make himself something to eat before he heard a familiar voice enter the room. Turning his head, Ainsley shot Daxton a fake offended expression. “Oh, so now I’m the loser, huh?” he asked in a joking manner, shaking his head.

Logan couldn’t believe it when he got the call. How did his lawyers at the time of him signing that stupid contract not let him know about this clause? He was pissed off that he was back here, after finally settling into a somewhat normal life. Leaving his suitcase by the stairs he strides into hall in search of the kitchen, swiftly finding it and sighing as he reached for the fridge dragging out the cartoon of orange juice, pouring it and sarcastically toasting up to the camera in the upper corner of the room before waiting for any of his old friends. Ready for the final round of bullshit that was likely to ensue.

The hypocrisy of moving on from the show to become a lawyer and not having noticed the clause in the original contract was almost embarrassing to Ainsley; something he rarely was. His only excuse that made this somewhat all alright was the fact he’d never read the contract in the first place - his dad had been the one to do so, which had caused a huge argument between the two of them. Yet, none of that mattered to him right now because here he was, having just walked into the house, his eyes scanning the room judgmentally as he looked for any signs of an attempt to get himself out of this. After no luck, he reluctantly dropped his suitcase onto the floor, not caring if it was in the way, and he headed straight to the kitchen, where he was glad to see someone had made it there before him. “How is it that dozens of us got that damn contract and not one of us was aware of this stupid clause?” Ainsley asked, a roll of his eyes and a shake of his head quickly following.
