“Nah that sounds like the dream, nothing to do but work right?” He teased himself a little with a chuckle, “nah I make myself take weekends otherwise I burn out pretty bad.” He added for information, “well I plan to negotiate that bedroom with whoever is in there, I’m very persuasive, and whiny.” He smirked a little at her calling back to their inside joke. “Well no, but the experience can be not terrible, depending on the ex, obviously.” He shrugged just a little continuing to have a look around. “Maybe you’re right.” He nodded, “it would be nice actually to see some really old faces and see what’s going on and how they’ve done.”

"if you need someone to vouch for your whininess, you know where to find me.” violet added, mirroring his smirk. “lucky for you, you have a choice of exes here.” her smirk remained as she teased him. “it’s not a bad place, but by far not in the top five of the houses - i think italy will always be my number one.” she began to speak of the previous houses they had been to. “as long as the old faces can hold a conversation past small talk, it would be nice.”

“I am not used to it!” he called back when he heard her voice, skipping towards the stairs as a soft smile formed on his lips. “And I don’t think I will ever ever get used to it” he added, clasping his hands together as he tilted his head to the side. “I miss my farm. And I miss my animals. But it was just a matter of time before we would end back in this house”

“at least you no longer have to miss me.” violet added with a sweet smile, she stood up and made her way over to give clemente a hug. “so you predicted this then?” violet asked swaying side to side in the embrace.

Daxton bit his lip in an effort to fight off the wide grin spreading across his face. “Babe, sh! I have to keep my bad-boy persona.” He joked, moving over to her and wrapping his arms around her waist. “Shit. I didn’t even think of that.” Dax pulled back and grabbed her hand, “Quick we have to get out of here before she sees us.”

“ah, it slipped my mind.” she smirked, her hands slipping around the back of his neck. “i think i may take the risk.” violet added before reaching up to peck his lips. “clearly the world thought our relationship was too boring so it chucked a reality show at us, what’s the worse a hannah callaghan can do to it?”

“With a lot of alcohol.” Ainsley replied with a dry laugh, shaking his head as he walked up a few steps to sit down next to Violet, a sigh leaving him as he hit the ground. “Well, I’ve already been round and checked the place out at least a dozen times, and not surprisingly, I got bored of that the second time around,” he began, pursing his lips as he realised just how stupid it was being in the house again. “At the moment, the best I’ve got is more booze. I’d suggest going and talking to everyone, but I have a feeling everyone’s in the same boat, and kind of pissed off to be here again.”

“booze it is.” violet repeated. “since you’re in here i can assumed we’re all screwed with trying to find a loop-hole in our old contracts?” she looked up at him, leaning her head against the wall. “on the plus side of all this, at least it’s the best looking, elite cast of the show; it makes it that bit more bearable.” she grinned.

“I have literally no idea.” Joey said and shook his head, a defeated sigh falling from his lips, despite having been back in the house less than a week. His now busy life outside of the house had made him forget just how boring his time on the show could be, and he hadn’t been expecting it to be hitting him as hard as it had already. Looking up at the top of the stairs where Violet was sitting, he let out a small hum and made his way slowly up to join her, sitting down on the stairs a few steps below her. “I’ve been struggling as well, if it makes you feel any better,” he commented, offering her a single shrug. “I think everyone has been.”

“hm, it does make me feel slightly better.” she replied and added, “it gives me hope that the show loses viewer count due to how boring we all are - therefore, the show gets cancelled.” violet sighed, “what did they expect anyway? - that we are as wild as we were back in the day, that we never moved on and grew up? that making a career, and/or making families outside ‘this world’ couldn’t been on the cards for us?” she sighed once again, before sarcastically adding to the end of her rant “you can see i’m thrilled to be back.”

It had been years since he’d been on this show and honestly? He thought people would have forgotten about it now. New reality shows came out all the time and Dax had assumed that one would have replaced this just as fast as this show replaced the one before. However, he couldn’t say he wasn’t excited to get back. Most people wouldn’t be excited about having to stay in the house throughout the week, having their phones taken, or having their time using basic everyday items restricted. However, they weren’t Daxton and he’d always had a soft spot for the show, especially since it introduced him to some of the most important people in his life and so, yeah, he was excited to be back. Walking into the kitchen where he assumed everyone would be, the boy readied himself for who he was going to see. “What’s up, losers?” He greeted them, a small but cheeky smile spreading across his face.

“’what’s up losers?’” violet repeated with raised eyebrows. “if that’s how you greet your girlfriend in front of the cameras, i don’t think i’m gonna like this ‘daxton’. fame is already changing you.” she tutted, the smirk growing on her lips showed that she was clearly joking. “and i thought the biggest concern for our relationship about being back on the show would be that we can’t kick hannah out of this house and therefore our third wheel is permanent.”

“I’ll gather you a list.” Monet told her with a playful wink before chuckling softly and shaking her head. “Oh yeah, definitely. Honestly I’m just hoping the show can go down in flames so I can leave early.” She said honestly, shrugging her shoulders.

“aren’t we all, mo.” violet agreed, not sure if there was a single person in the house happy about the show’s return. “what have you been up since i last saw you?” she asked.

Blue was relieved to see that it was Violet, a wise grin instantly on her face as she got up and wrapped her arms around the girl. “Oh man you don’t know how much I missed ya. I’ve been good how about you?” She asked the girl, pulling away to look at her.

“i’m really well.” violet replied with a soft smile. “how’s everything health-wise?” she asked, caring for an update. she took a look at the girl and noted that blue was looking great.

“Maybe you shouldn’t yell so much” he said as he looked up at her, crossing his arms over his chest. “But a great way of dealing with boredom would be talking to me. As I am an amazing person to hang out with” he added with a shrug.

“but you see robert, yelling is fun.” violet grinned. “maybe we should combine the two and hang out together and just yell.” she replied. “because if there’s anyone who is pissed over having to return to the show, it’s probably you.”

Laying on the floor, just staring at the ceiling, Clara frowned. This was just wrong, she didn’t want to be here. She wanted to go home. When she heard a familiar voice, she got up and walked towards the stairs and smiled. “Well if it isn’t my favorite person?” she asked.

“now this place has definitely got more bearable.” violet grinned as she stood and walked over to give clara a hug. “how are you doing, love? besides being sent back into this hell.” she gestured to the house around them.

“Just like that, that sounds about right.” Monet turned the corner after hearing Violet, a small smile on her lips as she walked over to the girl. “See I’d suggest readin’ but I think you want a lil’ more than that.” She said with a smile, nudging the girl. “Good to see ya again, Vi.”

“although if you’ve got some good recommendations, i will happily take them.” violet replied, standing to give the other girl a hug, “really good to see you too, monet.” she smiled softly. “despite the show being a bitch and screwing us over, i’m glad with the people they also screwed over are the best of the bunch.”

“Because you had moi,” Hannah stated dramatically, posing at the bottom of the stairs. “Come on, don’t be such a Debbie Downer. What happened to all of you? Did you get old or something? We used to have fun in this place,” she placed her hands on her hips.

violet grinned seeing hannah. even though the two hadn’t lost touch, it made violet happy knowing she’d be able to survive the show with the other girl here. “something like that.” violet nodded. “why - what do you have in mind to have fun?” she asked with raised eyebrows.

“It’s almost like I never left..” Blue said to herself as she blew a few strands of hair from her eyes and finished unpacking. She hadn’t planned on returning to the show but of course her contract had said otherwise. Her eyes wandered the room, wondering who she’d be rooming with this time as she heard someone approach the doorframe, turning in their direction over her shoulder.

“blue - hi! you’ve been dragged back her as well.” hearing someone else in one of the bedrooms, violet went to investigate who it was, and was happily surprised to see blue. “it’s been a little while - how are you?” she asked walking over to give the girl a hug.

“You know what? Maybe I am. I swear I feel about sixty-five most of the time. I think it’s time to except it. I think I should retire and go and live in the country or something.” He replied in a sarcastic tone. “Though to be fair I think I’d proper enjoy that.” He finished with a small laugh. “I want this one.” He said finding the biggest one and throwing his backpack on the bed as if to signal his spot with a little smile. “Honestly, I don’t know. In some ways yes because I guess this is fun when things are happening. But also things were going well as they were, you know?” He said wondering if he was making sense. “I wonder what fresh he’ll awaits for us then? What do you reckon? Any surprise arrivals?”

“the workaholic you are? you wouldn’t survive more than a fortnight in the country with shit wifi, or no ubers.” violet laughed as she replied. “we’re wasting our time claiming beds when there’s probably a room arrangement on its way, knowing this place.” at his words, she added, “and living with exes is never on someone’s bucket list.” despite choosing their rooms, violet still took her time looking in the other rooms, thinking that possibly other housemates may have joined them. “for sure.” she nodded. “i bet there’ll be faces from the earlier seasons making appearances, even those whose we haven’t spoke to since, or names we have forgotten.”

Logan left his glass on the kitchen counter as he followed her out of the room to look around. “Is that not exhausting?” He asked as a joke laughing lightly, “honestly, call me old but I’ve been enjoying the mundane as of late.” Logan laughed again, “I think I’ll always be with a paper and pen.”

“you’re old.” violet shot back as soon as finished his sentence. “then i’m guessing this couldn’t come at a better time for you then.” she grinned. starting with the upstairs, violet made a line for the room furthest away. “i bagsy this one.” in the previous years on the show it was tradition for the girl to choose the room at the end of the hallway (that is when the rooms weren’t chosen for them) because of the better nights sleep she got being far from any noise. 

“Not my dad actually, he’s not in employment law.” He said with a chuckle to himself. “Nah not yet, I assume its the same old, same old but we should probably take a look around, bagsie the best rooms and that.” He said with a small nod. Logan nodded, “yeah I saw your Instagram, you’re everywhere.” He commented with a small smile, “I’ve just been working. As usual, not really much of anything else. Got another book deal after the last one so, I’ve been on that.”

“that we should do.” violet agreed, taking her glass, she lead the way out of the kitchen. “my favourite place to be. not been this permanent in a place for almost a year.” she added. “congratulations.” with a smile, violet continued, “years later and callaghan is still found with a note and pen.”
