That's love

How amazing is it to find someone who wants to hear about all the things that go on in your head.

Today on my walk, a family of five got out of a car and my initial reaction was, great more people ignoring the social distancing rules. Then I quickly realized they had a big roll of paper and balloons. They were wishing grandma happy birthday from the front lawn, even sang her happy birthday. It was very sweet ... that's love.

When you left, my world crumbled. That's because I made you my world.

Choose love. Love is a verb. We can create it and be it with everything we do and say.

I think people forget that "having an experience" doesn't have to mean skydiving, going to every concert, or partying until 5am. It can be a meaningful talk with someone you love on a quiet Saturday night.

Life is about connection and community. The rest is just bullshit and details.

Interesting day at work today. People came in anyway (crazy) and I didn’t notice how much withdrawing affected me until I had a chance to connect with customers so I really enjoyed work and people were so lovely and positive and I could tell that they really appreciated how upbeat I was and it really felt like I made a difference to at least a few people today. I’ve noticed a lot of times people just will start having real conversations in situations they normally would just ignore the people around them in and while isolating where possible is still really good and important I liked getting to feel like lm having a positive impact on my community even in a small way. I told a lot of my customers today that all we can really do is be kind and take care of each other right now and I think they took that with them.

And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently. And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal. And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed
