So you know how in Insecurity, Artemis does her whole tracking device switcheroo? And then Roy feels he has even more fuel to add to the fire of his suspicion that Artemis is the mole? It really hit me that Wally never even considers the possibility that she’s the mole, or that her actions have anything to do with that. When Roy reveals what she did with the trackers, his aim is to incriminate her and call her loyalty into question, but Wally totally misses that boat; it doesn’t even occur to him to consider that possibility. Instead, he immediately assumes that Artemis did what she did to “take down the bad guys solo” and prove herself to the Team. It really upsets him to think that his heart-to-heart with her had no affect on her—that he has no affect on her. And I was just thinking about how far Wally and Artemis had come from his not even wanting her on the Team in Infiltrator, to being so hurt at the prospect that she didn’t take his words at face value—that she didn’t trust him enough to be secure about her place on the Team, and with him. 

THEY JUST HAD SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AND WELL-DEVELOPED RELATIONSHIP, GUYS.

This is exactly what I was saying in the old essay I did about these two in Usual Suspects and Insecurity, except you caught something I didn’t, about him not even considering her as a mole like Roy was trying to get at.
