In response Russia launched their missiles at the U.S. and it's surrounding neighbors. The U.S. actually did fire back their nukes at Russia and soon all the major powers were firing off their weapons. Only major cities were hit, and the nuclear technology was not that advanced, so most people were spared destruction and widespread nuclear fallout. However, with all the world's major governments in ashes, civilization quickly crumbled and society as we knew it ceased to exist. 25 years have gone by, settlements and shanty towns have popped up all over the United States. Some are self governed city states, where law and order reigns and people can live a semi-normal life, while others are home to raiders, slavers, or a corrupt inner circle oppressing the people and stealing what little resources are available. The Wasteland that now surrounds all functional locations is now a perpetual war zone, there are no rules or enforcement. Follow the people that walk the roads paved in the destruction of a once great civilization. Arometus Valley is told from the perspective of an old bounty hunter with a dirty mouth and a keenness to stale cigarettes. Follow the infamous bounty hunter, Randal "Blaster" Finch, as he tries to figure out who ordered to have him left for dead in a canyon used as a dumping ground for prisoners, slaves, and undesirables due to it's near impossibility to be traversed by foot.
