It's time to change.

A teen’s Reddit post went viral when he asked the public how he could get vaccinated. “My parents are kind of stupid and don’t believe in vaccines. Now that I’m 18, where do I go to get vaccinated? Can I get vaccinated at my age?”

The Ohio high school student, Ethan Lindenberger, says he had just gotten his driver’s license and a car, and had some money, and was ready to do defy his parents. “It’s stupid and I’ve had countless arguments over the topic. But, because of their beliefs I’ve never been vaccinated for anything, god knows how I’m still alive.”

A month after his post, he started getting shots, including “hepatitis A, hepatitis B, influenza and HPV,” according to The Huffington Post. His mother reacted by telling undark.org that his actions were like a “slap in the face…It was like him spitting on me.”  

Lindenberger has six siblings, and only his oldest sister and brother were vaccinated. After that, his parents thought that “vaccines are some kind of government scheme,” according to Ethan, who spoke out on Good Morning America today.

Seven states now allow minors to petition so that they can make their own decision when it comes to vaccinations. But in the states where kids don’t have a choice, some teens are coming to Ethan for advice. “I definitely have received messages and I’ve had people contact me that are in a similar situation where they want to pursue vaccinations and their parent or authority figure doesn’t believe it’s right,” he told Good Morning America.

My mother recently slip on some ice outside of house and broke her tooth. Now I know that doesn’t seem like a big deal but when she went to dentist to get it fixed it had broken in half down to the root and now her only option is too have surgery. Her insurance covers most of it the cost for it but me and her half to cover the difference. After gather some money were about 1,500 short of the goal and I’m looking any donations or willing to do drawings in exchange for money for the surgery.

Now I would make a GoFundMe for this but due to recent events surrounding the practices of the site, I’ve been advised to avoid the site altogether. So my only other option is to have the money sent directly my mothers PayPal account. 

And I want to make it clear that if you can’t donate, don't put yourself in a bad place for my sake. The last thing I want is for someone to go hungry or be short on some payment for the sake of helping me. Only donate if you are able to.

As for the paid work, I am willing to draw anything. Whether I personally want to do draw is irrelevant, If you pay for it I will draw it for you. You can even set a deadline if you want. It’s all going straight to paying for the surgery.

this shit works. it makes people like Brands. gets under their skin and in to their minds. when i said i didnt like the wendys twitter i personally offended people that viewed wendys as a friend, that viewed the wendys social media manager as a friendly individual that they respected.

the wendys social media manager is not your friend. they don’t even really exist. there’s no one person that writes the tweets for wendys. there’s a team of 20 something year olds that casually observe the latest meme trends and crank out mspaint memes because they know they’ll get retweeted if the memes are relevant.

they trick you in to thinking that Wendys is a hip friendly young person, and they manipulate you in to thinking that disliking marketing is somehow a “problematic” “un-woke” thing to do. 

and it works. 

I’m just going to be blunt about it; America’s depression epidemic is a direct result of the all-encompassing alienation we experience under late stage capitalism, and now private interests are attempting to recuperate the general public’s feelings of hopelessness and despair into marketing material, the spectacle in effect recuperating our despair and making it appear that the powers that be are on our side. That we are being watched over by boardrooms with loving grace, despite the fact that they are part and parcel with the forces of economy that has driven so many people to not see any hope in their lives. By recuperating the public discourse about the root of endemic depression, the status quo is able to trivialize it and sterilize it before before safely incorporating it back into mainstream society. Not only are we unable to strike against our enemy, most of us can’t even see them for what they are, and the rest of us can’t even speak to the truth of what they are capable of.
