Y/n came with someone new to the party. Colby knew she was here and he did nothing about it; why would he? They were broken up, there was nothing to do. But just like that, almost 3 years went down the drain and Colby was having a hard time coping. 

The multicoloured lights flashed continuously against the walls of the room and it was giving Colby a headache. He stared at the floor in an attempt to calm the pounding behind his eyes. He brought his hand to his face before rubbing his eye; coming to this party was a mistake.

“Uh, Colby?” He lifted his head to the girl he was talking to, her hands moving in every direction as she spoke. Colby felt antsy standing there with this girl as she told him her life story; 2 White Claws down and she started. His eyes wandered around every once in a while, his own White Claw was getting warm and the taste made him feel sick. 

He desperately searched the living room he was in for his ex-girlfriend and he hated himself for it. He kicked himself for thinking about her when this other girl was in front of him. It was 10 pm and Colby needed to feel numb, only if it was for a few hours.
